Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I was interested Electrical branch. The course curriculum is very diverse and interesting. The modules are not too long and the faculties teach very well. Most of the faculties are from reputed colleges and teach properly. Term exams are conducted every 6 months and are easy to pass if we study properly.
Internships Opportunities
A lot of companies visit the campus providing students a large number of opportunities to excel in their future. Companies like google apple and microsoft provide internship opportunities to students which can further be converted to ppo depending upon the students personal abilities.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester. Many companies such as Google, TCS, Infosys come for placements. Highest package offered is 1 crore per annum and average is 7.5 lpa. Most of the students get placement except with students with very low cgpa. I plan to pursue higher studies after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is dependent on the rank obtained in the entrance exam. The fees are decided by the category. Category 1 has the lowest fees for ranks 1-8000, and category 5 has the highest, for ranks above 60,000. Many scholarship opportunities are provided and opportunities are provided to study in foreign universities as exchange students.
Campus Life
The annual fest is called Vibrance conducted around February and the technical fest is TechnoVit conducted in October. The life at the campus is very nice. There are a lot of things to do, and many facilities are available for sports and extra curricular activities. There also many clubs, cultural and technical. I myself am in the bengali literary society. There are many books available in the library and ample resources to study.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is wonderful and the meals provided are also very good. The hostels are equipped with AC, hot water, ironing and laundry services. Registration can online through the vit website. The fees depend on the type room sharing, with more sharing having more fees.
Admission
The admission process was pretty straightforward. I applied through the entrance exam of VIT, called VITEEE. The application can be found on the VIT website. The application fees was 1200. The exam was mcq based and taken in online mode at the centre. The applications start in around March. The admission process is easy and straightforward.
