Course Curriculum Overview
The Rank which I got in JEE Main examination gave me the opportunity to choose this course. The faculty: student ratio is about 1:100. The faculty is highly qualified and many faculty members has completed PhD well known Universities in India. And their teaching method is well understandable. The Mid semester examination are conducted with in 1 and half month from starting of the semester and end semester examination are conducted after 3 months of the semester starts.
Internships Opportunities
The big companies like Microsoft, Qualcomm, Wells Fargo etc visit the College for Internship opportunities for the the student for various roles like Software developer, web development and so many other role. The highest stipend is 130000 by Microsoft and average stipend is 40000
Placement Experience
The student are eligible for compus placements from 7th semester. There are 40+ companies that visited for mechanical engineering students and amazing offers were made. 32LPA is the highest package offered for a mechanical engineering students. Almost 90 percent of the students get placed. I have very good plans after I get the degree
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure varies for reservation and non reservation Students. For reservation students there is no Tuition fee but for Non- Reservation students tuition fee is mandatory. There are several scholarship scheme such as NSP and FFE which students can avail. College also provide Teaching Assistant ( TA ) jobs for M-Tech students.
Campus Life
There are almost 4-5 fest held annually in NITR. Cosmopolitan- The multiethnic fest happens every year in January Nitrutsav - The Dance , Music and films fest happens every year in March Vriddhi - The sports Fest happens every year in September Innovision - The tech fest happens every year in October Garden fest for each Hostels and hall fest happens every year. Varies books are available in library. There are so many clubs in NITR in which you can take part for all extra curricular activities in the campus
Hostel Facilities
The Hostel rooms are good Spacey for accommodation of 2 members. The housekeeper come weekly once to clean the rooms. The rooms are provided with cupboards and windows. The quality of meal is good and provide different varieties weekly. The registration process of hostel room are done by the chief warden.
Admission
I was eligible for this Course by clearing Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), Which is held yearly for all 12th Grade students all over the nation. The application form can be found in Josaa website once announced. Reservation benefits are available for ST/Sc and Oc (Ews) students.
