- Very flexible time table and a lot of time will be getting for learn and explore new things.
- class rooms were air conditioned and there are projectors in every class room.
- infrastructure was good and faculty members are supportive and decent number of fests are being conducted every year i.e around 4 to 5.
Dislikes
- placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college
Course Curriculum Overview
This curriculam was very flexible and student friendly. In a week, we can get 2 days holidays i.e on saturdays,sundays. In each semester we will get 2 fests and there will be garden fests and a lot of time to improve our skills and learn ,explore new things in our college(NIT ROURKELA). faculty members are very supportive. All the faculty members who are teaching to us are doone PhD in their subjects.Written and published so many books.
Internships Opportunities
some top IT companies come to hire students like amazon , microsoft , accenture , nation with namo etc and for core companies like bajaj , JSL etc stipends may vary from company to company. we can try for off campus placements also.
Placement Experience
Coming to placement scenario.. 1)From 3rd year onward companies will come to hire you as an interns by giving internships that may be paid or unpaid. 2)We can try in different sectors like CORE,IT and we can study for abroad studies also. 3)If no placement happend we can go for GATE exam and CAT exam for MBA studies etc..that is abse don our intrest. 4)In our branch the placement stats tells around 90% students are placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees will be around 100000. This may vary from semester to semester but the amountfor 4 years will be around 820000.There will be no hikes in the fees. There also some facilities for EWS category students and scholarships for EWS,SC AND ST students like NSP AND FFE etc.
Campus Life
In every semester there will be 2 fests. in autumn semester there will be VRIDDHI which is a sports fest and INNOVISION which is a technical fest. besides that there will be garden feast also.there will be somay books and journals available in library. there are grounds for all the sports like cricket,kabbadi,badminton,volleyball,basket ball,swimming pool. In spring semester there will be 2 fests...one is COSMOPOLITIAN which is a cultural fest and NITRUTSAV which is multi ethnic fest. there are so many clubs in our college. we can refine,improve and learn new technologies and skills in these clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel room for first 3 years will be alloted for 2 members.fan and light with proper condition.The meal quality is nice.menu was good.when we get seat allotment hostel will be alloted in the seat allotment letter itself. hostel seat rent will be of 5000 per semester.
Admission
Yes. There is an entrance examination called JEE MAINS. After the exams..percentile and ranks will be released in nta website.The application form will be found in nta official website. after some days counselling will be started under JOSAA.This will be of 6 rounds initially and furthur 2 rounds will be conducted under CSAB.These are 2 special rounds.This complete JOSAA counselling process is done based on our CRL rank and CATEGORY RANK too. but in CSAB they will consider only our CRL rank. Means allocation will be done based on our CRL rank. CUT OFF FOR GENERAL ---- arounf 90 to 91 percentile. you can check the cut offs in nta official website.
