Internal View on Nit Rourkela

Actually I only opted for top 5 NIT Colleges with top 5 courses in my counselling process. I didn't selectively wanted any course .So, I got Mechanical Engineering in NIT, Rourkela. I think it should be like 10 students to 1 faculty members but if we take only teaching faculty members, It depends on the respective branches. Many are heavily qualified lectures having Masters and PHDs from IITs, NITs, adhavpur University. Many faculaties have their own ppts and they project on projectors and teach us.Many members don't enthusiastic towards that type of teaching when compared to Blackboard teaching. Around 45 days from start of semester, We will prepare to write Mid Semester Examinations and around the same time from mid semester exam we will End semester Examinations. To pass the examination, you have to depend on yourself first and depends on correction by lecturer.Some Lecturers will give you pass marks easily, Some are toughnuts. You have better prepare for mid term to know lecturer.

Tata Steel, Jindal Steel Ltd, Career Mantra, Microsoft, Accenture, BPCL and other companies have visited. Data Analyis, Web Development and SDE post related are offered the most. Data Scientist and ML posts have also offered but not very frequently. Have some projects related to Web Development like creating web pages based on Java or HTML and CSS. Data Anaylyis for core students.

from 7th semester you are available for campus placements generally, So many visists the institue, I never taken attention to how many companies are visiting, but I have an Idea all decent as per studies are placed, if your looking for premium packaged placed well moderately averaged students will be present. for 22-23 year highest placed got greater 80lpa CTC by Microsoft. As previous said more than 90% students are placed every year. To have a decent job and to accumulate funds for MBA or MTech or to have my chance with Government jobs and Civil services.

Per semester, the fee payment will be around 100K rupees. For SC, ST students and other category students who have income less than 100K rupees and 500K rupees annually, their full tuition fees i.e 65K and 2/3rd of full tuition fee will be waivered. For Schloarship, Private scholarships are there like FFE, Reliance (FFE is for low income family), NSP (Government, for Non SC ST students, 10K annually and for SC and ST students 80K annaully, for the first time you applied they will deposit you another 30K to buy Laptop for SC and ST students). There are so many private endorsed scholarships which we can avail based on merit or economical condition of Family. Since NITs, IITs are central govt. managed institutents, the burden of fee will be less on you, You can get bank loans from SBI easily, if you admitted into the college. There will be no cost hikes. My Institute has Above average placement cell, more than 90% of students will be placed.

There are both Technical and cultural fests are there. Inno, Nitrutsav, Cosmo are annual fests, Inno and Nitrustav are conducted in the early of the month of November and Cosmo in end of the month of January. Library was very huge, all books related to your course will maximum are present and library has nice study halls to prepare for you exams or related to your internships or placemens interviews. Well in my class approx.70 students will be there from various backgrounds across the country, everybody was interested in mostly other students languages. All sports clubs are there and playgrounds are vast. Swimming pool was there, you can enjoy pooling time according to institute pooling time for male and females.

There will be atmost 2 students in a room, according to your favourability you can approach your warden to change rooms to have your friend has roomate. There will be necessary space to share with your roomate to have your laguage. You and your roomate will be provided with 2 tables and 2 chairs which are nice quality. NIT hostels are very afforadble since you have to pay 72.5K annually including other medical fees, mess fees also included. Our college messes tastes depend on their halls, since each hall have their own mess. Rourkela food are not much masala and they are sweet liking guys.

Everyone who completed their 12th class according to CBSE and Intermediate according to their state boards can apply for JEE Mains examination. In the official NTA and JEE Mains Website we can have the link for registration for Examinations in that Educational Year which can be conducted more than once in a year and best of the resuts of higher percentile was given as your score and respective rank. For Non ST and ST registration fee is half of the OBC, EWS, General Candidates registration fees. Reservation benefits are same as per the Indian Constitution given to Marginalized societies 7.5% for ST students, 15% for SC students, 27% for OBC students, 10% for EBC students and reservations for physically handicaped under their categories.For Foreign Students they can apply through DASA. I don't have any suggestions or thinking about improvement of Admission process, which was already sufficient. To have improvement in admission accordingly to me, Reservations system can be improved.
