Likes

All the clubs here are highly active and they provide us a broader perspective towards our interest.
Medical facilities are really good and neurologists are also available in our despensary.
The placement opportunities here are marvellous.

Dislikes

Restriction for outings in hostels after a certain period.
The way faculties teach really need to be improved.
In the campus a lot of stray dogs could be found which is quite scary

Course Curriculum Overview

I was always interested in physics and mechanics, so in order to pursue a career in this field I chose this course.Faculty and student ratio is about 1:60 . Even though it's heard that faculties are highly qualified but still I feel they lack in teaching skills. Teaching method surely needs to be improved as till the day of exam we won't be sure about the syllabus. Per semester with a gap of 2 months midsem and endsem exams were conducted and for passing one has to study 2 weeks prior to exams.

Class Size: 116Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure per sem is around one lakh and opportunities for scholarship are provided to the students who come from financially weaker sections and there is also system of study loan which is highly feasible

Campus Life

There are four major fest conducted each year that is innovision in the month of November which is a tech fest , vridhi in the month on November after innovision which belongs to the sports and games community , Cosmo in the month of January which is a cultural fest and nitruutsav in the month of February which belongs to the dance and acting society.All sorts of books can be found in the library. The official media body Monday Morning is run by students and it can be seen in the official website of NITR

Admission

We can get direct information about the entrance exam JEE directly from net and for the admission process we need to stay updated with the JOSAA counselling services . For writing JEE Mains the fees was around 1000 and to crack these exams its better to get enrolled in renowned organizations like BYJU, unacademy, Fitzee, kota, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in.
