Vit as a college

The field of artificial intelligence and machine learning is one of the trending fields.I took this course with great expectations in future job opportunities.Also the college has an amazing placement record and is one of the best tier 2 college in India.Most of the faculty here are P.hd and have great research.The student faculty ratio is 1:9.Term exam is fairly easy and it is fully flexible credit system in which you can select your own courses.

Internship opportunities are provided to students who have excelled in their academics.Many great companies come to campus for internship like IBM,Wipro,TCS, Microsoft and even Google.Projects are given to students to encourage their critical thinking and to make them more involved with technology.Also students are told to watch over other people's projects and extremely good projects are kept on display for other people to watch and explore.In the first year, students are given a project named introduction to engineering.

Students start getting Pre-Placement offer in their 3rd year of engineering if they have good coding skills and good CGPA.Many companies visit the campus in 4th year like Microsoft,Wipro, Google,TCS .Vit claims a placement percentage of 100 but it is not actually true.The placement percentage is decent with somewhere like 81-85 percentage but most of the students who sit for placement will get placed in some company or other.Obviously,I would like to go for campus placements and get a good placement,maybe in future I would like to do Masters with good job experience.

The fees remains same for the next 4 years and there is no hike in the fees.Vit provides scholarship to students who are financially not capable and to students who are extremely good in studies.Also the foreign exchange program is very good here.Vit provides good internship opportunities to companies like IBM,Wipro and Microsoft.You just have to keep trying and crack the internship exam.

The annual cultural fest is Vibrance which is conducted in the month of March in which great singers from country come here.The annual tech fest is TrchnoVit which is conducted in the month of October in which students get to showcase their talents.There are different competitions which take place in the campus and students can compete in it.Lot of sports and e-sports opportunities are provided to students and competitions are held for students to complete.Classes here are good,non-ac and well lit.There are many clubs here for students to join and acquire skills in management and finance.

Hostel facilities are great if you compare it with the amenities provided by other colleges.All hostel here are fully ac and there are 3 types of mess provided.Veg mess,Non-veg mess and special mess with different mess fees.The mess fees is average and edible.The registration process for hostel registration depends completely on th CGPA of the students and it is given preference to students who have more CGPA.Students who have 9 CGPA or more can choose their own hostel rooms and their room partner.Sadly,I didn't rent a room but rooms here are available at affordable prices.

There was a paper named Viteee in which you have to write a paper full of mcq's in 2 hours.The paper is fairly easily.On the basis of your answers ,your rank is decided and then you have to sit in their counselling which is done for 4 campuses of Vit.The campuses are Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amravati.There are category system in counseling in which you can pay more fees and take your desired seat in your preferred branch.The five category fees are as follows:2 lakh,3lakh,4 lakh,4.5 lakh and 5 lakh.Students with rank 1 lakh and above are not permitted to sit in counseling for Vellore and Chennai Campus.There is no reservation in the exam of Viteee and everyone is treated equally
