Is BIT(banglore based) good for mechanical engineering?

I have choosen mech. because of interest in physical world and systems. I will say the faculties are average in terms of knowledge you have to be independent for your studies but yes they are very helpful and friendly, and they will help you to be in track. The faculty to student ratio is moderate. There are like 3 internals test of 25 marks , out of which best two are taken to evaluate the average marks , after having minimum passing marks you can sit for semester end exams. Hmm the questions being asked are not difficult or something unknown it is from your class notes , topics which are taught by teacher. (In internal tests only), don't write some other stuff in answer other than what teachers told as they are going to check your test copies :) In SEE, you can write the information which you** have regarding that topic or even some new method to solve mathematical problems.

From 6 th semester you can sit for placements.Virtual mode of intership is offered like Right now Technologies. Tata consultancy services (TCs) offered stipend of 30,000/ month. AANS Technologies provided internship for 3 weeks with 2500 fee. Mostly for these internship you should take leave if it's not virtual and remember you should also maintain your attendance of 80% per semester:) And to sit in college placement derive you should have knowledge of basics of computer science like from college you will get some points to get those qualifications on your own through net.

There is a campus placements. Companies like Dell, persistent ,Accenture, Oracle,IBM,zebra, Mahindra ,and many more visits. In the very same year in which I got admitted, in first sem ,the GE Aerospace recruited two from CSE branch. 15 selected for tata technology. From these it looks like only CSE have the job opportunities which incase true for highest packages but if you are interested in some other you can opt for those, the college have those capabilities to bring the companies of your interest but you should have those capabilities only then. About packages, it's generally like average be of around 7 lac, highest was 22 lpa from CSE. About 90% student get placed in previous academic year. As I, myself from mechanical, not looking for any computer based job but it is mandatory from college placement cell to have basic knowledge of computer languages, like should have online certificate that you learned c, python.

Basically if you are from Karnataka, fee is going to be around (1-1.5) lakhs even through management quota. If not fee will be around (2-3)lakhs through comedk. There are several scholarships, in which mostly are for regional based,but, you can opt for like for girls, obc, sc/st based. And if you perform really well in your external exams then your fee can be managed by college iff you can't afford. As for now, CSE is doing really well and getting all the best offers.

Here environment is ok-ok. There are many clubs related to study, fun activities, leadership and management which you can join them. You can get the opportunity to give speech in TedX. Annual fests are also organised for different departments by seniors.Participiant are students. Workathon also held where you can show creativity and get your activity points. You should have 100 points before course end day. Sports events are also held, where you can take parts like running, kabaddi, badminton,throw ball, many more, and prizes are also distributed to best performer in every events. NCC training practice is also conducted.

For admission, you can come through comedk or kcet entrance exams. Through comedk,for mechanical department, cutoff rank will be like max.30,000. If not, you will fall under manegement quota and also fee is higher than kcet in comedk. Like even through management you will be paying less than comparing to the fees through comedk if rank isn't good. In counseling process, fee is paid online and you have to come in college on given dates there they will just take yours some original documents and some additional fees. And done. There are also many scholarships available, like for girls, for Backward class, you can opt for them with some few documents.
