Course Curriculum Overview

Btech- Information Technology. I was fond of programming so opted this. Exams are divided into three parts Cycle test I , Cycle test II, and End semester. Overall the teaching quality is good (above average level). Faculty student ratio is up to the mark

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 816050 per year

Internships Opportunities

Some of the companies like American express and shorthills have given internship opportunities to students of various roles like product developer , React Js developer and backend etc. Stipend is also good .

Placement Experience

Student can eligible for oncampus placements in VII semester and In In VI semester they can go for full time internship. In off campus last year(2019) was 60 LPA and average around 15 LPA. Overall placement percentage is good(around 90%)

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility and scholarship (National Scholoarship program ) are provided by the government and banks. State government also provide loan facility to students. Economically weaker students can make use of such facilities

Campus Life

There are various clubs present in the college and annual fest is also organized. Infrastructure of the college is good. Social life is good. You can make good friends and paricipate and sports facilities

Hostel Facilities

College also provide hostel accomodation with lift, Laundary and hot water facility. Hostel mess food is also good (above average ). Students can register for register after admission process done and thay provide three seater room facility.

Hostel Fee: INR 75000 per year

Admission

I have taken admission in this through JEE main to which all students are eligible studing in class 12th and a dropper. This application releases every year where one have to register and pay admission fees.

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Placement Experience:

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
