Courses offered by IMU colleges are Bachelor's in Nautical Science B.Tech in Marine engineering Diploma in nautical science Bachelor's in Naval Architecture All the courses are out of the box which offer high paying jobs as future captains and engineers of the merchant ships. Faculty reaching are all of the marine background who did their Phd prior commencing reaching. Courses are tough but learning experience is easy. Teachers are biggest supporters and the seniors are your best friends.

As per last 3 years college placements have gone up with avg batch placement percentage being 80% in total Many big companies hire students which are based in foreign countries Packages or Salary are all standardised as equal with avg being 35,000 INR per month

Fee structure for BSc. In Nautical Science is 6,60,000 INR for 3years which includes: Tuition fees Hostel fees Uniform fees Books fees Lab fees etc. Institute also offers scholarships to students who rank under their merit list in all India rankings among their govt colleges every Semester (except last semester) 1st rank gets 1,00,000 INR 2nd to 16th rank 75,000 INR each 17th to 33rd rank 50,000 INR each Job offered are in shipping companies with avg salary of 30,000 to 40,000 INR per month

Life at college is close to a life of a military person with uniforms College has various other activites like - Swimming - Field Apart from that various competitions are organised with cash pprizes

For entrance exam (IMU CET) Need Science in class 12th Min. 60% in English and 60% in Science Apply for entrance exam through official website www.imu.edu.in Entrance exam consists of basic Maths, Physics and English problems No cut off marks, only all India rank system. Prior Exams Fill form Apply for colleges which are under IMU (5 options given with desired course selection) Select Course and College then submit Get the admit card and date of exam After exam Through rank basis, colleges are appointed on preference basis. Pay the counselling fees Get the medical examination done by approved maritime doctor Take the certificate of fitness and eyesight certificate to college with required documents Documents are verified and admissions are done Incase name not announced in any of the college, wait for 1 week as there will be 2nd and 3rd list coming out. Incase govt college not allotted, take admission in any private college affiliated under IMU.
