Course Curriculum Overview

The first year is a waste of time and money. The faculty members are highly qualified. The term exams are easy to pass but difficult to top. The teaching method is not structured and faculty is friendly. Permanent faculty: student ratio for UG is 1:15

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 551000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is definitely high. But we are provided with sufficient internship opportunities. There are no campus jobs as such and no placement. But with a good portfolio , jobs in good companies can be secured easily. Not very affordable.

Campus Life

Life at campus is calm, clean and safe. You will get plenty of chances to attend social events as something or the other is always going on. There are a number of clubs which are run by students and new ones keep coming up. The online library is resourceful

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is too strict. Biometric attendance is conducted everyday and randomly rooms are checked. Bags are checked everytime you enter. Food items like maggi and raw eggs are also banned along with electric appliances. The process pf taking a leave is lengthy and exhausting. Laundry is compulsory and they delay returning your clothes. Hostel is clean and luxury though. Meals are good and edible. Wardens are friendly and you will be respected.

Hostel Fee: INR 189100 per year

Admission

The admission process did not include any interviews, just a single round written exam. The paper was unique and interesting. Applicants need to complete standard 12 with minimum 50% to be eligible. Application form can be found on the website and application fees is 600rs (for all courses). Course fees is 1400rs (for selected courses only)

Course curriculum here feels more practical and idea driven rather than just theory based which was one of the main reasons I chose this course it focuses on design thinking creativity and real execution instead of only textbook learning One of the strongest parts is how it slowly builds your understanding from basics to advanced concepts through projects assignments and presentations this helps in preparing for real world work because you are constantly creating and improving your portfolio rather than just studying for exams The curriculum does prepare you for industry to a good extent especially in terms of creative thinking software usage and project handling but it can improve by including more updated trends real time industry briefs and collaboration with professionals which will make it even more relevant Teaching methods are mostly interactive and practical but sometimes they can include more workshops guest sessions and exposure to current market tools to enhance learning experience Exams are conducted with two internal assessments of around 40 marks each followed by a final semester exam of 70 marks theory and 30 marks practical the difficulty level is moderate if you attend classes and complete your work regularly it is manageable Overall the curriculum is strong in building creative foundation and practical skills but with a few updates and more industry exposure it can become even more effective for future careers

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have really packed timings. We also have a lot of chances. Like an exchange program, internships and many chances to act or work in actual projects. I really hope they could teach us animation in the course and it would really help if the clubs are active. For every exam we have to come up with something new totally out of the box. sometimes we also have to work overtime.

Campus placement is available and the average package is about 7 lakhs and the highest package is about 30 lakhs. Because the university is new there is only a master's degree batch that has been passed out. There is about 90% placement.

Ab overview of life at NIFT Bangalore

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after their graduation project in the 8th semester which is the 4th year. A good number of companies around 8-10 come for the campus placements. The minimum package starts from 6 lakhs and can go up to 20 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get an on campus placement. Some get an off campus placement as well. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters in my field.
