Likes

The extra cirricular activities and the opportunities to study for the different colleges outside the country.
The placement of the college is good and most of the people get placed in college.
Campus is big and very green so this we fell fresh in the campus.

Dislikes

The overburden of studies and the curriculum is strict.
Some teachers are partial towards some students .
Due to intake of so many students during each year the college is over crowded.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty are well knowledged in course but the ciricullum is tough and not that easy. There are many students in one branch but there are enough teachers as well.Exams and assignments will be on time we get the time table for one semester before the semester starts and then we follow it throughout semester.

Placement Experience

The campus placements start from sixth semester in our college and go till the last semester and the placement opporutnities are veery good this is why the college is mainly famous for. Last year more than 700 companies had visites the campus and the average package for Computer science students was around 6-7 lpa. I am also deciding to sit for campus placements and then do a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is high because it is a private institute but we have lot of opportunities if we want to pursue higher studies and there are some scholarships applicable for some students .We have categories the higher the rank the lower the category and lower the fess of the student so there are mainly 5 categories so as the categories increase the cost inresaes.

Campus Life

The campus life is fine it is a bit strict college but we do have 2 fests that we have every year one is the technical one and other is non-technical one.So students enjoy there and there are many clubs and chapters in the college . There are sports and extra-ciricullar activities as well which take place frequently and the students who perform well will get selected for the college team. So the activities and events are preety regular happening thing in VIT.

Admission

There was an entrance exam for the college,and then depending on the rank you get a branch that you opt for. You need to fill the branch priority in oreder then you will get branch depending oin the allotment and rank.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
