Likes

The hostel life with friends. The chattering and having fun.
1st year hostel is really good. Everything was good untill 2nd year hostel

Dislikes

The food, its disgusting. Unhealthy. Doesn't give a balanced diet
Ragging happens and it can be unbearable sometimes
Smoking and ganja is done by many students and slowly it spreads.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is followed from makaut board, which has very tidious type of study. Not very sophisticated. You have to study a lot of unnecessary stuffs that you wont need in future, but still uou have learn those yo earn marks. Whereas important stuffs needed in jobs are often overlooked. You also wont find sufficient time to improve skills as teachers are old fashined and foece you to complete unnecessary wtitings that could easily be digitalized.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 225000 per year

Placement Experience

Compassing is fine, but the TPO is a corrupt man. They will get more corrupt by each day. Companies no. are getting less by each day due to them eating our money without working. So no good companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees will increase each year so you will have to prepared to pay more than you initially thought. It happens for both course fees and hostel/mess fees. Mess food sometimes gets very unhealthy to eat, and the dont follw any diet chart, leading to malnutrition.

Campus Life

You will have gym, natural beauty, feilds for sports. But the pollution is also high due to it being near thermal plants and cement factory. The heat also becomes unbearable during the peak of summer.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are fine. Not clean. Very poor maintenance. Takes long to fix if anything gets wrong. Infrastructure is very old. Ethernet often gets disconnected. Mess food is unhealthy and also leads to malnutrition.

Hostel Fee: INR 125000 per year

Admission

I gave wbjee and picked it in the counseling portal. After the results came i joined EE of cemk college. You have to come to the college for paying the bills lateron. After 1 year i switched stream and got cse. Now i am studing in 3rd yr.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
