- I liked the classrooms, faculty interaction, and other things. The campus life was also good, with the seniors being a good helping hand. The fest and cultural activites also keep me busy. There are several greeneries in the campus .
- The plants make the campus area filled with air and greenish, making it easy to breathe. Placements are good enough if you study hard and the faculties also help you reach the higher education studies. The infrastructure is also quite good
- The library is filled with books, and journals, 10 years papers, and there is a space for sitting in the library. The ECE course I opted was helping me nicely, and the subjects offered were quite interesting. There were elective subjects also.
Course Curriculum Overview
I love to work with machines, and electricak quipments. Furthermore, ECE also have a good scope in the nearby future in many streams like VLSI, Microprocessors. Therefore I took this department. Faculties are highly educated and good in teaching.They will provide you solution to your queries again and again. ECE department in 2021 has an intake of 60 seats, but in 2022, it got increased to 90 seats. The faculties are educated, and they are very friendly. Their teaching will help you understand andyou can also seek help from them in the off period if some queries are there. The labs were also very good, and you can work with them. The term examinations were every month- there were 4 internal exams, and one last sem, with 2 practicals internal. The exams are quite easy to pass if you study.
Internships Opportunities
TCS, IBM,Google, HCL offeres many internship from 1st year in the college. the stipend is 5000/- to 20000. FOr ECE there is industrial training for which college this year made us to go to Jadavpur university. There is thermal power plant nearby, and thus there is also industrial training for the EE department. Projects are many , and outcomes are also good.
Placement Experience
from 6th semester/3rd year, students are allowed for eligibility in campus placements. TCS, WIPRO, Cognizant, Infosys, Oracle and other other companies have visited our colleges, and have taken more than 20 students. Highest package in ECE is 18lakhs and lowest package is of 5 lakhs per annum. IN ECE, every year almost 80% students get placed. After getting the bTech degree i would be pursuing higher studies, for which my teachers in the college are helping me to study and giving time for my exams preparations.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the course all 4 years is 4lakhs and there will be no hike in the course structure. 1st year the fees is less and till 4th year it will go on drcreasing. I didn't got a scholarship, but many students got Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, and the financial assitance is truely provided. My passing year is 2025, so till now I havent got a job, but in ECE department the highest package till now was 18lakhs/annum.
Campus Life
The fest in our college is of 5 days tech and cultural fest. They are conducted in the month of March to april. There are more than 1000s of books in the library and there is every book available said by the teacher for you. The classrooms are quite big, and gave fans and lights. There is a projector which makes it for both teachers and students. FOotball, Cricket, Badminton, VOlleyball, Bastketball, and many indoor games are there. Extra-curricular acivities include Dancing, singing, drama. and anchoring are there, Clubs for extra curricular activities of dancing singing drama and anchoring are available which are run by students.
Hostel Facilities
There are triple, double and single room available. There are 3 beds, 2beds, fans, and light, with tables, chairs and almirahs, asper the room -3,,2,1. The menus are changed every 1months, and there are fish, eggs chicken and one day veg- with paneer. The meal quality was better than most of the colleges and they maintain proper hygine. Hostels are available if you live far away, and the travelling distance is more than 1hour from your home. Nearby areas have accomodation for houses-township Kolaghat.
Admission
The admission process doesn't require any interview or something. They will simply check you 10th and 12th MArksheet, and will ask for your permission if you want to take admission. I tool Both JEE Mains, and WBJEE, but I got through WBJEE rank. Aplication process is done after WBJEE result was out, there was counselling and by the first round I got this college. The cut off was for ECE 40000 rank. Eligibility of the course is 40000 rank in Wbjee and 1 lak in JEE mains in ECE. The application form is given after you come to college and meet faceto face with the admission cell. The date will be given in the counselling round to you with a limited period. The fees booklet will be provided in the college after meeting. I didn't availed Reservation Benefits. No, till now everything in the admission process is perfect. They will assign you your roll no as soon as you take admission here, and they will also ask you if you want to get admitted, so this is a good process, options are there
