A TRIP TO NSUT

I chose Btech because my dream was to become a software engineer and to live an engineering life. The faculty:student ratio at NSUT is good approx 1:16 The quality of teaching is good , faculty members are well educated and they teach the students in an efficient manner . They are also good at doubt support and clearing . Their teaching method is excellent like they observes each student and make full efforts in him/her. Each year is divided into two semesters and in each semester there occurs two exams- mid sem and end sem exams. Mid sem is of 15 marks and end sem of 40 marks . Also internal and external practicals are also conducted .

Students get opportunities for internships in 5th sem with appropriate criteria of different companies . Around 100 companies visits our college like Tower research, IBM, Deloitte, Cisco, Adobe, DE Shaw and many more. The stipend range varies from 10000 to 2.5 laks per month. If a student has a good coding profile and 8+ gpa then He/she is most likely to get an opportunity in tech domain. The students must have atleast 2-3 projects to be viewed like of DBMS OOPS and Web Dev etc. About 20-30 % students in tech branches and 5-10% in core ones get internship opportunities in NSUT fulfilling the eligibility criterion.

In 7th semester the placement drive begins till the end of semester. The students with appropriate critera get placed in top companies. Flipkart, amazon, Salesforce, sprinklr, wells fargo, JP Morgan ,cultfit and 150+ companies visits the College for hiring students with multiple offers. The highest package in 2023 was 1.25Cr per annum and the average package was 16Lpa (overall) , however varies branchwise. About 80% students get placed each year (overall) and 95% in tech branches with average package of 20-25 Lpa. After getting the degree my plan is to get a good tech job in top notch tech giants of the world and to travel different places across the world. The placement rate is very good at NSUT. Approx every student gets a job except those who want to go for further studies and who are detained or who have backlogs and other causes.

The fees of each year is different like 219000 (1st), 229000(2nd), 239000(3rd), 249000(4th) and each year the fee hike is 4.6% . Financial Loans can be provided but Scholarship Schemes are not provided by the college itself . However, we can claim the scholarship schemes provided by the government like Edistrict scholarships or NSP. The college provides on campus placement (in 7th sem) and internship opportunities (in 5th sem) . The average placement package varies branch wise but was 16 lpa (overall) in 2023. CSE: Approx 22 Lpa

The campus life is awesome. Each year annual cultural fest and tech fest are conducted in the month of march and october respectively ,popular artists come and bang the floor every year. All kind of Books and articles are available in the library along with encyclopedias and journals . The lecture halls and labs are well equiped with ACs and ventilation. Sports is very good at NSUT , we have teams here of different sports and take part in sports tournaments in ours and other colleges as well. In sports they have Cricket, football , tennis, badminton,kabaddi,chess etc. Societies and clubs are also present of various fields like drama ,dance, music,gaming,art etc for the students . rounds are done and on the basis of that students are selected . Like Ashwamedh(for drama), Crescendo(for music) etc.

The Admission was done through Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) main . Eligibility criteria : The students should passed or appearing in 12th with PCM.
