Remarks

Overall college is good. Good faculty, seniors, placements, campus life etc but infrastructure needs to be improved.

Entrance Preview

I scored 136 marks in jee mains and opt for this college. I opted fir this college because of its location, placements ents, alumni network etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is good. There is a updated course for every branch. Modern methods of teaching are used. In 1st year, subjects like environmental science and ethics are taught which i think is very beneficial to students in life. C programming language is taught in every branch whether it is circuital or non circuital to teach basic programming to students.

Internships Opportunities

Internships offers are good. Recently, an intern fair was held in college which offers Internships for summer vacations ,also to 1st year students which i think is not in other colleges

Placement Experience

4

Placements are good in branches like cse, ece but moderare in other branches. There is 100%placements for circuital branches and it is approx 90% for other branches. Many good companies visit for placements like amazon, Microsoft, l&t, honda, maruti, flipkart, zomato, etc. Last year highest package offered was 37 lakhs. Average package of college is something around 6-7 lacks. But it is high in cse somewhere around 10 lacs. You can check more about placements on college website.

College Events

3.5

They are many events held in college. Biggest of them is pecfest which is a 3 day fest held every year. Apart from pecfest, many other events like music events, dance events, drams are also conduct time to time. There are also technical events from technical societies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I think fee is not very high. Academic fee is approx 55000 per semester but hostel fee is bit high which is 62500 rs excluding mess fee. Mess fee is approximately 2000-2500 per month which is not so high. According to qualities of hostels, fee is bit high. But there are no other expenses from college side. One gets also get scholarship which is upto 100%.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships for students like 100% fee waiver for economically weaker sections, sc, st, branch toppers etc.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio is good in branches like cse, ece, electrical but not so good in civil mechanical. Labs are good with modern equipments. Many workshops held regularly for betterment of students. There are many clubs and societies in college like robotics, asce, drams, music, dance etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are four boys hostels and two girls hostel. I can tell you about boys hostels. Boys hostels are good with single room facilities after 1st semester. Mess food is also good. But i think fees of hostels is bit high. It is 62,500 for one year excluding mess.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are good. There is not any sort of ragging in college. Seniors are also supportive and motivating. Alumni network is also good.

Exam Structure

Sometimes labs made day hectic because labs are of 2-4 hours. Exam days are not much hectic. Exam days are hectic for students who don't student regularly. But those study regularly may chill in exams. Syllabus for exams is not too much. You can do well in exams if you study regularly.

Admission

There is a counselling happens every yearr named jac chandigarh to get admission in this college. Admission is purely on the basis of jee mains rank. Registration for counselling starts in june. There are 3 rounds of counselling and a spot round also. Cut offs are good. There is a 50% reservation for chandigarh students.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of college is moderate. Some teachers are very good. They are really inspiring and teaches very good. Some lacks in teaching. All teachers are good qualified. Many did phd from reputed universities and colleges. Modern methods of teaching are used by teachers. Some also encourage students to study well.
