Course Curriculum Overview

i wanted to do btech and i got electronics and communication degree in sardar vallabhbhai national institute of technology according to rank. faculty is good and graduated from IIT's. Teaching is also good. Exams are difficult and between 6 months period

From 6th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. JP Morgan Chase, Barclays , VISA, Deloitte,etc made offers of in the range of 12-25lpa.highest package offered was 29 lpa by VISA and average package offered is 13 lpa.84% students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

total cost of study is next to 80000 per semester and we have 8 semesters . so total fees get to 6,40000 and we have fee remission in our college based on the father's income. another scholarship is MYSY and job we get a stipend of average 12 lpa.

Campus Life

Sparsh is our annual cultural fest and Mindbend is our annual techfest in the month of April. We have library in the centre of the campus and all the academic and non academic books are available there. all the amenities are present in classroom. most of all the sports are played in campus

Hostel Facilities

we have fan , a study table , chair and cupboard in the sharing of 2 people in room. the meal quality is good. idli, uttapam, dhokda, poha etc. we have to pay online fees in the MIS portal and select the room inrespective hostel.no i didn't rent room

Admission

the admission process was good. you can give the exam after appearing 12th. application form can be found in nta website and application fees are 600. no improvement required in admission process and good result

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Inside SVNIT: A students’s UNFILTERED view

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai.
