Firstly I liked the campus vibe very much .
The allotment of various societies where students can show their talents.
I liked the diversity that DU provides .

Dislikes

Grading system in the exams should be more transparent
If we get a close campus then I think it will be more safe for students
When we call for recheck and reevaluation of exam papers then they ask for huge amount of money

Course Curriculum Overview

Since I selected Mathematics Hons , the course is a bit hard then the other subjects. It's much theoritical then I thought ofcourse. The major papers are much inclined towards theoritical maths. Faculty members are good . Classes are done regularly. Internal tests are also done at regular basis

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't get any scholarship from the college so I couldn't tell much about it . Also in my friend circle. They have not got any scholarship other than the NSP scholarship. Yes the fee hike has been done . We have different different fees for different different colleges. This should be stopped. All colleges should have a particular fees and it should be less

Campus Life

Campus Life is very good . Although I don't stay in hostel but we often come to campus at night to roam around and the vibe is awesome. Fest and other activities are mainly done from October onwards after Diwali then it continues to may when we have the college fest . The library provides a good amount of books then we can look into . Not much amenities in classroom but it work . Sports facilities are there in every college. There are many college groups,cells and societies that are run by students.

Admission

My admission process was not through entrance so it was very smooth. I opted for the desired course and submitted all my data that was asked. I uploaded the marksheet. I took admission in OBC quota so I submitted the category certificate. It was smoothly done .

Placement Experience:

placements cells were little challenging . there were really less near to zero placement were there .so thats a problem you have to go for higher studies to get a good job and financial stability mostly students do this only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Placement Experience:

Maitreyi college's BSc life sciences is a three year course and admits almost 130 students . The average package is INR3.40 LAKHS but is very difficult for the students to get placed under this course

Shivaji College Experience

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Life in Kirori Mal College.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.

Well you need to very lucky to have been a part of Sri Venkateswara college.Only think we missed back then was auditorium and hostels which am sure are there now.A very positive and caring vibe you got.Reddy Sir our principal in last few months invited me to share tirupati prasad he got that was the level and depth of community interaction and love.

Best college of DU for Mathematics

Remarks:

Canteen of the college is not much good. But it is good for a student. We can make our career in different field from this college. It has provided us playing material so student cam play there favourite game

The admission process of the college is through Cuet ug admission examination, I had applied to other top colleges of The University of Delhi including Kirori Mal College, Hindu College, St. Stephen's College and Hansraj College, However my score was best suited for Ramjas and I was allocated this college during counseling process. For admission into Delhi University, CUET exam is conducted based on your 12th subjects. Scoring atleast 750 above out of 800 is necessary to get into top colleges like Hindu, LSR, SRCC etc. Then based on the marks , you are allotted the college , there are 3 rounds of allotment.
