Likes

Fee structure is the best part about the government college and it's well reputation.
Focus on various aspects other than academics , there is every type of college societies to join in.
I found library to be the best part as Library is available for whole week till 8pm providing great environment to study.

Dislikes

The class strength is a major drawback, due to the huge strength there can never be attention on a personal basis.
Teaching style could be improvised as there is much need to change the teaching style.

I choose this program because I want to pursue CA along with the course and both of them have major similarities. There's bad faculty: student ratio if precisely discussed it would be around 1:200 . Teaching method i would could be improvised as there is not much attention towards practical knowledge.. Due to covid exams are not conducted in 6 months but instead in 3 months . Exams are certainly difficult to pass

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is great as compared to another colleges or private colleges. I am currently paying just 15000 for the whole year nothing else whereas the college fees can go upto 2-3lakh per year based on the college. I haven't availed any kind of scholarship.

Campus Life

I am more invested in academics rather than extra circular activities but than too i would say there is regular college program. Every other day there's some of the college programs going on. My favourite spot is library i spend my 8-10 hrs in the Library only due to its great environment, it's best place to study for exams , for competitive exams . Classroom structure is great and spacious. There are many college societies to join in.

Admission

Eligibility for b.com(hons) was having 60%+ in 12th form commerce+ maths . I found out application form , fees everything on the website itself. I didn't availed any kind of reservation and got it from general category. I want to improvise in my academic skills for finance

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

For admission into Delhi University, CUET exam is conducted based on your 12th subjects.
