Good college for engineering

In my opinion college is good for my overall engineering experience. College management is good and every department has AC computer labs with all the necessary facilities.

I gave IIT JEE and i scored 49 marks out of 360. I got this college on counseling round. EXTC dept. Has 120 seats, therefore, I got admission in this College otherwise the cutoff is bit high.

The course structure I would say is improved within the four years of my experience. Interactive activities such as presentation, small projects, and tasks are included. Research area is very good as our department is tied up with IIT BOMBAY and has launched a satellite and every year a research team is made to take the research ahead.

Yes, the college provides internship in 3rd year in government sectors such as railway, Doordarshan, barc. The knowledge we get from the internship is very important here but they do not give any stipend to students. Internships are around for 2-4 weeks

Placement faculty is very active and tries to bring as many companies as possible in the campus. The average package you can get here is 3LPA which I think is good. Every year around 20-30 students get placed from each department. Placement training is also conducted by the college which is tied up with TIME institute which is the very good initiative by the college and it helps alot to the students. This training is started from 3rd year.

There are various events celebrated in each semester. In odd semester events like teachers day, engineer's day, Garba is celebrated on the departmental level(separate events for all departments). In even semesters there are cultural events like a rose day, traditional day, corporate day, clan day are celebrated. There are lots of technical events like robot race, robot soccer is also celebrated. The college has its festival called as ABHIYAN which is conducted around March with dance and fashion show competition.

The Fee structure is feasible and you have to pay the full fees for a year before the semester starts. It was 105000 in 2017-18 for general students and for OBC it was 58000. College helps you to get scholarship from government if you are eligible. College fees include exam fees also so you do not have to pay extra money after admission.

Yes, the scholarship is available from the government for all colleges and our college makes sure every eligible student gets the scholarship and its benefits in fees. I dont think any loan facility is offered by the college. Scholarship form procedure is quite tedious and you have to complete the procedure before the given time to get the scholarship.

College campus is very big and shared by 3 different colleges (engineering, architecture and dental). Gender ratio I would say is 50-50. There are two buildings dedicated for mechanical workshops. There is a big grass quadrangle in the campus which enhances the looks of the college. There are strict rules for ragging and I don't think there are any incidences of ragging in the college. Students are very friendly and you will love thr college life here.

I did not use hostel personally but I had friends in the hostel I used to visit their rooms. In each room maximum, 4 students are allowed. College mess is average. The breakfast menu is fixed for the week but at least you get different dishes for different days of the week. Taste wise the food is average. There are some cases of stealing in the hostel so you have to make sure you lock all your important things in the cupboard.

This is the appreciable thing in the college as the college keeps contact with all the alumni and invites them every year in the college and organizes events for alumni meet. Alumni students help students with placements different educational workshops and build the corporate contacts.

In each semester there are 2 internal exams of 20 marks paper for each subject. Practical exams are also conducted before the semester exams. All the results for internal exams are available on college website. I feel the exam structure is very good and does not pressurize you.

I got this college in online admission procedure. It was third (counseling) round in SP college and then the next day I went to bharati Vidyapeeth College and took the admission.admission process was easy and the office staff is quiet assistive. College does not offer offline forms for admission but admission from management quota is available.

College faculty is average because not very young professors are present in the college. Knowledge of teaching faculty is good and faculty is also friendly. There are at least 2 professors with Ph.D. in their subjects in each department. I feel some faculties still lack the practical knowledge in their subject as the softwares nowadays we use for practicals are new.
