It's an Okayish University

As someone with background in commerce, this was my only route into the IT industry. There are some lovely and some very rude staff members. My class had 80 students in its first year, but by the time it reached its second year, only 69 remained. This year, however, there were more seats available for new students. Teaching is similar to other colleges; you will have to study independently and they only cover the basic topics. After 1-1.5 months, there are midterms; for example, like the semester starts at the end of July, so midterms would be in mid of September and the major examination are held in December.

The placement rate is not high enough. Students can sit for placements twice in this course, once at the conclusion of the BCA (sixth-semester) or at the end of the MCA (tenth-semester). Very few students get placed in companies. Mainly students get jobs through off campus placements.

Mca(fyic) is quite expensive according to me but you can apply for fee concession in even semester. Other scholarship schemes are also available. There's also a learn while you work scheme in which you can do part time work in Library.

Near Diwali, several departments host social events, and in October and November, various Punjabi colleges compete in the categories of painting, bhangra, singing, and giddha. There is also a youth festival. Our department has a technical student society with teams like the cultural sports creative placement technical and the social media team. Additionally, there is jashan, an interdepartmental competition that takes place around April.Gndu is well-known for its sports events. A  gymnasium, a cycle track, a swimming pool, and many other facilities are available, and there are numerous sports tournaments held amongst different departments and different colleges.

While some hostels are newly constructed, some are older. The hostel has stricter rules for girls than for boys. For example, there is no curfew for girls, and you cannot order food delivery after 9 p.m. Additionally, there is a minimum 1000 rs monthly charge for the mess. The meals are average, and twice a month, we have a special diet. The single rooms are not available and double seater rooms are very small and there is only one chair, table and almirah provided which is to be share by both of them whereas in three seater rooms sperate table and chair is provided for each student. For international and sports students there is seperate hostel. And fir international students single rooma are available.

The admissions process is fairly straightforward; all course and admissions-related information is available on the official website. This course has an entrance exam, and the dates for it are announced there as well. Email reminders are not sent, so you will need to pay attention to them. You should be able to do math or computer science in class if you are enrolled in the five-year MCA (BCA + MCA) programme. The application price is Rs 1200 for general class applicants and Rs 600 for other castes; however, the amount is subject to change. Three sections make up the entrance exam: one for general knowledge, one for quantitative aptitude, and one for English. The entrance exam is not specific to this course; rather, it is applicable to all commerce courses like mcom(fyic), mba(fyic), bsc statistics, and bsc economics and hotel management courses etc. The result of entrance exam is expressed as ranks, which determines how seats are allocated.
