Course Curriculum Overview

As I have interest in Computers and Softwares from schools, I have chosen it as my course. Our faculty:student is 1:10. They are well qualified and so practical in their teaching method. Our term exams are held in time. It took 35% to pass.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 185000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Interships is available On-campus. Many companies comes for internships and gives a nice amount of stipends. Companies like TATA, Codenation, Trilogy, Microsoft, Samsung, Flipkart etc. come for get interns from our college.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Amazon, Microsoft, Qualcomm etc. and many more companies offer a higher salary job. The highest package was 70 lacs last year. average is 10 lacs. Almost 70% student gets placed. My plan is to do higher studies after my graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for full course is constant, it never hikes. There are many scholarship in terms of result of semester. Student can avail placements after the completion of course. Many students many contests that brings money.

Campus Life

Our tech fest name is INNOVISION that helds in the month of November. Cultural fests like Cosmopolitan and Nitrutsav are held at the beginning of the year. Annual sports event VRIDDHI helds in October. Library is enriched with books of many collection.

Hostel Facilities

There are maximum double rooms available in the hostels. Bed, table, ceiling fan, light and shelves are available in the room. The mess meal is average and better than other. I am also currently residing in the hostel named SD Hall of Residence.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

For getting cse in NIT Rourkela it requires 98% minimum JEE Mains percentage. All things are available in the website. At the time of application for admission the reservation benefits can be availed. All the process are in online and the final admission is done in the campus itself in offline mode.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

NIT ROURKELA THE ACTUAL REVIEW

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in.
