Entrance Preview
No interview just one exam, IIT JEE. Colleges are alotted based on AIR.I choose IITR over other because it has a very good coding culture.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is Geophysical Technology (Integrated M.Tech). The course structure is concise and specific and the best part is it's interesting!
Internships Opportunities
I am not in my pre-final year, so I have not been on an internship.
Placement Experience
Most of them get placed. I think average packages are about 10-12 lakhs.In my branch big companies are Schlumberger,ONGC etc.
College Events
THOMSO AND COGNIZANCE are major 2 events of campus having foot fall of about 30000 students.Organisimg committee includes mainly 2nd year and 3rd year students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I think fees for General Candidates and having an annual income greater than 5 lakh is around 2.25 lakhs, for family income less than 5 lakh there is 2/3 of total fees is waived.
Fees and Financial Aid
MCM scholarship is there for poor students and encore 89 for meritorious ones.
Campus Life
Many college groups which are mainly Recuitmenting only b.tech students.Some of them are ASHRAE IITR ,IITR Motorsports etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are well equipped with all facilities like gym, badminton court, shops etc but mess food is not so good.
Alumni/Alumna
Well organised along with proper interactive sessions with them.They also sponsor our college festivals.
Exam Structure
Exam culture is not so chill as it is necessary to maintain 75% attendance to sit in exams. We have 2 exams per semester.1 is mid sems and other is end sems.
Faculty
The faculty here is qualified and experienced. Most of the faculties are focused on research.
