The college is just amazing

The college is overall good but has a lot of potential to develop. My overall experience has been very amazing so far. One of the best Technical college in India.

The college takes admissions through JEE(Mains). I got admission in this college based on my JEE MAINS rank. With a 9000 rank this was the best option available to me. No interview process is there. Selection is just on the basis of JEE Mains Rank. My first preference was computer science and second choice was electronics but as the seats were full in computer science i got electronics.

A very detailed and finite course curriculum. The course is good and the college focuses quite a bit on practical learning as practical learning is the base for engineering. There are a lot of research initiatives taken by the institute. MTech and PHD Scholars under the guidance of the teachers work very hard carrying out researches in different fields.

The college provides good internship opportunities and many good companies visit the campus to take students for the internships. Experience is amazing. Interview experience, going through different rounds and specially when you get a good paying internship. Average stipend is around INR 25,000 per month.

The placements for computer science students was 100% followed by electronics but for other branches it was less(about 80-90%). Many good companies like Amazon, JP Morgan, Texas Instruments come to hire students. The average package is around 8 LPA. Highest go up to 27 LPA.

Only one major fest takes place in the college 'PECFEST'. It is the annual techno-cultural fest of our college. This is the largest college fest in the North India. Average footfall was around 60000 last year. The fest was organised well and all the efforts were done by the students and the college also contributed around Rs. 2000000 for the fest.

The college fees structure is something like this: For the first semester Rs. 70,000/- and Rs. 55000/- for the following semesters. This amount is much affordable for middle class person and also scholarships are given to students according to the family income and capability. Hostel fees is around Rs.60,000/- per year.

College does provide scholarship to those students who top the semester and to students below poverty line. I didn't get any scholarship. The college doesn't help in getting loans but due to the goodwill of the college any bank would be happy to give an education loan.

Many extra curricular activities take place in the college. There are many technical societies and cultural clubs also such as dramatics club, music club etc. and ample opportunity is given to explore the hidden talent inside the student.

I am a Hosteler. There are sharing rooms in the first semester and then after there are single rooms. No PGs are affiliated with the college. Hostel fees is about 60,000 rupees per year. Food quality is not that good but the food is edible.

Alumni network is great. There is an interaction session e;very year organised by the college between students and alumni. My interaction with the alumni was amazing. Not all but a few alumni contribute to the college in the form of money or in kind.

Exams are not that frequent. Labs are quite frequent. Yes there are much classes and labs and tutorials so they make students feel tired everyday. If we talk about exams only then there is a chill culture.

The faculty here is very good and quite experienced. All the senior teachers have their doctorate degrees and those who are not much senior act as assistant professors. They are quite interactive and approachable. The standard of teaching is very good as the teachers are good and are very qualified. New teachers take substitute classes. There is a lab for almost every core subject and also tutorials are taken for the theoretical subjects.
