Sdmcet,Dharwad is a good college

The college is good, am satisfied with the college ,faculties are experienced,a good cafeteria is there in the college ,senors are very helpful and always helps us in studies and career options .There is a strict anti-ragging policy in the college ,placements are also good and time to time students are given chance to show their talents through fests etc. With playground,greenery well equipped labs, good classrooms,experienced faculties,cultural activities and many other opportunity for students.

i Wrote comedk entrance exam for taking admission in the college, i got a rank around 35,000 and thus i was admitted in the college.I got Electronics & communication branch in the college and after comedk counselling i came to college paid the fees and my admission was approved.I am interested in electronics so i took this course.

The course curriculum followed here is very good,college follows the guidelines of visvesvraya technial university,Belagavi and the faculties always emphasize on practical learning and hands on activities so that we can learn the course topics properly and apply it in upcoming years and so that we could be skilled.

Internship opportunities are provided to students every year,approx 90% of students gets internships in some good companies but we have to go Bangalore to do the internships as their is no it companies in this area, also the internship opportunities in core branches are not that good.

Placements are also good, every year more than 40 companies visits the campus for hiring students,however the students of core branches doesn't have good placements, but cse,ise & ece students are placed with an average package of 4.25 lakhs also every years many students get offers of more than 10 lakhs too, this year highest package was 13.87 lakhs.

Every year sdmcet experiences a no. of events such as insignia,fiesta etc. also from time to time many small events are also organised in the college.

I paid fees approx 1 lakhs and 70 thousand as i was admitted through comedk rank to the college ,however the students who are admitted on basis of kcet ranks have to pay very less fees ranging between 4,000-60,000 depending on their category ranks as per the guidelines of Karnataka government.

Yes,scholarships and loans opportunities are provided to students by college.

Yes the hostel is very good ,rooms are given on sharing basis i am sharing my room with 3 other boys, i paid a total of 40,000 as a hostel fee for 1 year which includes fooding and lodging both.

Our exams are taken in semester wise pattern, we have to give three internal exams per semester too.

Faculties are very experienced in our college,they are having an experience ranging between 5 years to 20 years,we are always encouraged to learn the subjects and the faculties believe in interactive and practical learning and always topics are changed from time to time as per industry demands so overall experience with faculties is good.
