My college experience is so nice and i like everything about college.

VNIT is the best college for electrical and mechanical departments.Professors working here are very helpful.It is one of the oldest institutes among all nit colleges.

I have cleared Joint Entrance Examination mains. Ranking process during my admission includes both mains marks and 12th percentage. There was no interview process for the admission.I am very much interested in electrical and electronics engineering department(EEE).My rank was 6356.According to my rank i got admission in VNIT,EEE dept.

It is a very good course.I suggest one to take EEE.Our institute focuses more on practical learning,we have labs for every subject where we get more practical exposure and gain knowledge on the equipments we use to generate electricity.We visit a power plant every year where we get to see all the processes taking place.There are many electives like social sciences, programming etc.

Yes,some companies like fedility,sun pharma,reliance etc visit our campus for internships.it is not mandatory to apply through college we can try for internship on our own. The experience was good.The stipend amount ranges from 40000-4000.

The placement scenario is good in VNIT. No. of students getting placed is quite high.Around 80 percent of the students gets placed.Major companies that visit are Morgan Stanley,amazon,Goldman Sachs,oracle,OFSS,L&T etc.Around 150 companies visit our campus.Highest package till now was 22 lpa and the average package is 5 lpa.

AXIS is the technical fest organized in our college.It is central india's biggest Technical festival. There are many events like Robowars,mechatryst,aqua skylark etc.These events are open for all students from other colleges participate actively and win prizes.AAROHI is the cultural fest in our college.It includes dance and singing competitions.

Academic fee for each sem is around 40,000.Hostel fee including mess is 56,000 for every year.As it is a government college fee is affordable and they scholarships for SC,ST students and there is a facility of taking educational loans with 0% interest.

Our college focuses mainly on extracurricular activities along with academics.We have a event called Institute Gathering(IG).It is a sports fest where the competition is between the departments.There are many opportunities to participate and explore our talents.

Yes,i am a hostellite.They allot single rooms for third and final years of B.Tech and It is on sharing for first and second years(2 per room).As i mentioned above fee structure for hostel is 56000 per year including mess.

Alumni interaction was good.They help students in many ways.Alumni provides internships and the meetings are conducted every year to make students aware of things going around.

We have two sessional exams(or internals).Each sessional takes 15 percent weight age,so cumulatively total internal weight age is 30 percent. Weight age for end semester is 60 percent.Remaining 10 percent is of quizzes,assignments,projects etc.There is separate evaluation for labs,it consists of two tests of 40 marks each,where they ask us to perform the experiment and take viva, evaluation is based on performance and viva.Remaining 20 marks is for lab attendance and lab records.

Faculty in our college are highly qualified.Their teaching experience is around 20 years.They are very much interactive,they help students in both academic and personal issues.They arrange a mentor program where we get a chance to share our problems with faculty and solve them as well.
