Amazing college life

75% attendance is mandatory in our college. This becomes a task for all the students to follow as no. of leaves are very less. Also, the timing of the college is 9-5 which is very time consuming. Otherwise, our college has a peace loving environment and all the students and teachers share an amazing rapo with each other.

For admission in Galgotias University students have to clear GEEE(Galgotias Entrance Examination). There is also a way for admission which is the 12th board percentage. Admissions to this college are also provided with certain minimum marks in 12th according to the desired course. Certain courses require interviews before final admissions but the interview in all courses in not necessary. Opting BCA in this college was my choice because of the placements and teaching quality.The

Pursuing BCA from this university was a good choice since the faculties are highly experienced here. They focus more on practical learning than theoretical knowledge. Most of the computer language subjects are provided with labs where students can learn practically. The university also provides the facility of PBL labs where students have to make their own projects on the basis of their learning. Such research initiatives help the student to understand the basics of industry-based knowledge.

The college does not provide any internship facilities to students. The students have to find internships on their own. The college only provides placement facilities. Although the students can join different clubs and societies which help them to prepare for training in industries and big companies. The student can find internships before the last year of graduation and can learn a lot through it.

This year Galgotias University students had a record breaking 85*% round 1 placement with Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro and Tech Mahindra. The students of CS-IBM programs had 98% recruitment – an achievement that exemplifies job-readiness of the programs’ pass outs. Year after year, leading corporates like NIIT, Vodafone, Aditya Birla Group, BMW, Airtel, Citibank, HCL and others select Galgotias University students for their all-round skills and leadership qualities.Students are trained to work as a team, think on their feet, improve presentation and communication skills and build a positive attitude. This all-round grooming multiplies their chances to get selected by top corporates in campus placements.

Many fests are organised and people from a lot of other colleges visit our campus as well. There is too much rush during fest times and the average footfall falls to thousands of people. The fests and events are funded by private organizations and big companies.

The fees of our college is affordable as it is much cheaper than other private colleges around the area. Even after being a private college the fee is not that high in our college. Our fee structure is as follows: 77,000/- tuition fee and 10,000/- examination fee which sums it up to 87,000/-. This amount is not that huge and can be paid by most of the families easily.

Galgotias University offers scholarships to meritorious students and students possessing exemplary skills in sports, performing arts or literature. Merit-cum-means scholarship is also available for other categories of students.

Many extra-curricular activities happen in our college which increases the potential of each student and help them realize their hidden talent. The facilities are provided to students by the club members and society members who conduct the event.

No. I do not reside in the university hostel but the facilities there are good. Proper cleaning of rooms and proper discipline is maintained. 3-4 boys share a single room with individual beds for them. The quality of food is average though. 1.5 lakhs for A/c rooms and 90 thousand approx for non-A/c rooms has to be paid per annum.

The college does not provide a proper platform for student-alumni interaction. The students can talk to alumni on a personal basis but college does not provide for the same.

We have two internals and an external in every semester. The exam schedule is always kept easy on the part of students so that it does not gets tiring. But we have 2 hour labs which is to much for a regular class and sometimes it gets a lot tiring.

The quality of the academic staff is excellent for the quality of the college. The members of the academic staff come from accomplished backgrounds with vast experience in the field of education that have shaped many of the minds.The teachers are very interactive who focus on interactive learning hence the classes are a bit understanding and fun to learn.
