- Fest culture: This college is very good in it, the cultural fest(Sanskriti) and technical fest(Rebeca) both are awesome.
- Senior-junior relation: The relation between seniors and juniors make college awesome as they run together the system.
- Sports:This college is very good for sports enthusiasts in almost every sports.
Dislikes
- Hostel: Rooms are not good here in comparison to another colleges and the quality of mess' food is also not good.
- Faculty:Almost every teacher are good here but some are not easy to handle as their way of teaching is not understandable.
- Cleanliness: The campus is not healthy and clean as compared to the campus of another college.it needs a lot of improvement
Course Curriculum Overview
1.I choose this course as I am deeply interested in machines and engines. Studying quantum physics deeply is also a reason. 2. Faculty:student ratio is quite good here, it is 1:20 3.Almost all the faculties are here PHD holders and they have conducted research in various fields. Their teaching method is quite good. 4.We face two exams in each semester which is usually carried out just one month after beginning of the class.
Internships Opportunities
As I am a first year student so I can't say anything about it. But when I asked my seniors about it they told me college has a good reputation in this field and they also told that they got the opportunities of internship in various public sector and government fields.
Placement Experience
1.From fifth semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2. About 192 companies visited our college this year in which PWC, TCS, Google and other major companies are included. 3.Highest package: 51 LPA from Microsoft IDC Average package:15.81 LPA 4.More than 90% of students got placed. 5. I prefer higher education after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
1.Based on the fees hike policy students are classified into three cateogries on the basis of their family income, the general fees is 150000/yr but if the family income is less than 1 lakh then they have to pay no fees, if between 1 and 5 lakh then 70000/yr and for family income more than 5 lakh they pay general fees. 2. Apart from government and private scholarship which student can get this college also provide some scholaeahips in which WISE scholarship of DAAD is well-known.
Campus Life
1.Annual fest: Sanskriti (held in January) Tech Fest: Rebeca(held in April) 2.Library has a good collection of books and almost book of every type can be found. 3.Classroom is very comfortable and a better place to study. 4.We have two grounds in the campus namely THE OVAL and THE LORDS, both are a great place to play. We too have basketball and volleyball court in campus. 5.We have a lot of social group, clubs and websites for students and run by students. In which robodarshan (a robotic society) is well-known
Admission
The admission process included councelling process of CSAB where I got the seat in IIEST shibpur and after paying all the necessary fees(?75000) I had to go for physical reporting at the campus. After reporting and verification of the documents I got the admission in college. Eligiblity: 12th passed with 75%+ marks and good percentile in JEE Mains.
