Remarks
The college is situated in a desert. Like it's way too far for city people to reach there. On top of that the college being just established doesn't provide anything other than teaching the curriculum, so any talent you've got there, has no stage to come out. My overall experience of the college was exhausting, but a bit fun, just because of my friends.
Entrance Preview
Got the admission through my diploma percentage, which was 78%. The cut off for good colleges is very thin. There is no between , either you get into a good college or Kalsekar. I just couldn't get the admission to a good college by 2 %. There was no interview process. I chose EXTC, and given the luck I've got, the course is also as bad as the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Pathetic. The course is just pathetic. Leaving behind a few subjects in which you actually get to learn something, everything is just a waste of time. Yes there are the utmost best equipment for the practicals. But there is no use of them at all. And yes the college does help in research initiatives, which is the silver lining on a very dark cloud. The college doesn't provide us with any elective subjects, though we had the chance right from the beginning.
Internships Opportunities
No internships provided. The college is taking up measures to do so though, but it would take them years to make this happen. The college has just started, so no priority is given to internships.
Placement Experience
No placements provided by the college. The college isn't as established right now. It has just started and placing the students isn't their uttermost priority.
Fee Structure And Facilities
This is the part where my college is better than other colleges. The fees are around 20k - 30k less than any other engineering colleges in Mumbai. We had to pay a fees around 75k for each year, compared to a whopping 1lac for other colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
A Muslim minority scholarship of 25k is given to the Muslim students.
Hostel Facilities
I should've opted for one in my first year itself. The hostels are cheap and very good out here. The rooms are spacious enough and the food quality is excellent. There are PGs also available.
Exam Structure
It is very tiring. To attend the lectures and attend the practicals travelling for almost 1 and a half hour everyday, is really tiring. On top of that the exams make us tear our heads out sometimes. At the end of the day you don't even get time to eat, leave behind the studies. The college is situated very far, and makes it very difficult for the students to travel.
Faculty
The teachers here are educated enough to teach the subjects. They teach fairly well. They have the knowledge but they are sometimes helpless as they are already burdened with a lot from the University. The standard of teaching is good here.
