Course Curriculum Overview
I have choosen to pursue chemical engineering at IIT BHU because of combination of factors that align with my academic and career aspirations. Students have many opportunities in many fields apart from courses one can explore and find their field of interest. student to faculty ratio is quite good .Its around 20:1 Faculties are highly qualified .Almost every faculty have done their PHD from renowned Institutions all over the globe. Every semester two major exams are being conducted i.e; midsemester and endsemester. Apart from this quizes and assignments are taken frequently depending upon the faculty
Internships Opportunities
HUL - 2.2 lpm-supply chain and core ITC-2.25 lakhs supply chain APT portfolio - 4.5 lakhs for Quant and 2.5 lakhs for SDE and DS Flipkart, Amazon,Samsung ,Texas, BNY melon,swiggy, Zomato,American express,salesforce are some of the top recruiters . Many companies visits campus for paid internships with stipened varying from 50k to 4.5 lakhs per month.
Placement Experience
In 7 th semester various companies visits campus for campus placements. Around 300-400 companies visits for campus placements every year . Companies like APT portfolio, GOOGLE, Microsoft, Sprinklr, Oracle, HUL, ITC, Media.net ,Flipkart , Amazon ,Meesho ,swiggy ,Zomato ,Samsung are some of the top recruiters.Almost every student get placed, Packages varies from 7lpa to around 2 cr/pa.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no hike in fees since last few years. Students can avail various scholarship programs by state and central government and private institutions too like FFE ,NSP.Some of the schorships are provided by alums of the institute. Placements statistics are great. Students are offered jobs in various domains like SDE,PM,consulting ,AL, ML, Datascience
Campus Life
Tech Fest: Technex , it is Asia's oldest techno-managment fest. It is being conducted every year in the month od March. Annual Fest: Kashiyatra is our annual cultural fest which is being conducted in the month of january every year Library : Students dont need to buy books as they can avail library facilities. The main library have plenty and variety and plenty of books. Also every Department has its own library For extracuricullar activites students can join various clubs and council. There are four councils- Science and Technology Council,Social Service Council, Cultural council,Film and media council. Students can join various clubs under these councils. There are various websites and social groups run by COPS IITBHU,Business club IIT BHU ,etc
Hostel Facilities
In total there are around 20+ hostels in total. The newly made hostels are quite decent. students are provided double sharing rooms with each room having two beds, two tables and chair and one cupborad each. I'm quite satisfied with the quality of meals and the menu provided here. Its ways better than other colleges. We can register for hostel along with the course itself and its quite affordable
Admission
Examinations: JEE Mains Candidates needs to first appear and clear for JEE Mains examinatin conducted by NTA JEE Advanced Only those candidates who qualify JEE Mains can appear for JEE Advanced Registration after clearing JEE Advanced students needs to register for JOSAA counselling (6 rounds) through which their seats are being alloted based on JEE Advanced Ranks and choices filled during registration application details can be found from official site of National Testing Agency Eligiblity Criteria: Candidate should have secured certain Rank in JEE Advanced to be eligible for admission in IITs
