Creation of countless memories

It is slowly loosing its name due to the personal feeling and greed of the management but the strong alumini network won allow such to happen because its definitely the best place to stay and study. The environment it creates is bliss. More committed teachers to their profession.

No entrance exam as such,took 10th and 12th gade marks as criteria..lucky to get a seat though through sports quota! I did try for other top colleges in south india like loyola srm university, but i knew this college was the best arts and science college in town and the integrated studies it involves the students with. However the selection was hard as there was a lot of reservation quotas and made it through with great difficulty . They say a seat in Mcc in definitely a blessing. The current course deals with the basics of accounting and specializes in finance which is a field i like to pursue and is a very interesting course.

Excellent,it so happens that the course which specialize in accounts and finance is the field i wish to pursue and really involves practical exposure through interships,seminars,researches etc. The Bcom course has two divisions ie. Geneal and Account and finance. Within the course there is option to choose electives like languages,allied subjects etc.

All BCOM SFS and BBA students have to do a month intership compulsorily as it is a subject for them in the sixth semester. It is an entry to the corporate world, and definitely a good and must experience before the real job. Stipend amount depends on the type of company.

Placements are available only to the final years, an the number of companies turning up are increasing year by year. And its nice to see the top companies recruiting freshers from MCC. Companies like E&Y,DELOITTE,L&T,WIPRO,AMAZON ETC. The packages offered are the standard ones varying from 15k to 25k depending upon theroleand company. The percentage of students being placed is however not much due to the advanced and competitive sector.

Deepwoods is the annual inter collegiate fest and draws its won crowd from the city and has literary and debating events as well as cultural events. Apart from this College Auditions is also there which is intra college and each halls have their own competitions conducted within campus.

Well since there are two streams ie. Govt Aided and self Financed Stream the fee structure vary... Bcom comes under the SFS stream and for each sem the fees come up to nearly INR 20000. The degree from the college is surely worth the fess paid.

The college provided such schemes for the students coming from low income families and backward classes. Loan facilities are also offered with the help of IOB.

The colleges concentrates on various types of activities from sports to literary events to theatre and general cause events. It is a place where u can transform yourself into a true leader.

Oh yes, MCC is one of the to colleges which follow a Hall culture in India. Well one may call it a hostel but actually its a hall because the various activities present from literary to sporting and eating too. Totally there are six halls (3 for woman and 3 for men) Hostel is a word, Hall is an emotion. P.S: Im a resident in St Thomas's Hall (One of the Halls in Campus)

MCC has its Global Alumini Meet and its a great and grant function,recapturing memories in such heaven. A group or membership is there such alumina associations. They help to build the campus through funds and other helps.

My course has this semester MS office,so we had two hours lab in a week. It really was a place where one could chill and sleep under air conditioners and the professors wont be that strict. Yes at the end of the day we get tired but the day can be made happy if such happy situations were there.

The professors are mixed, there are new inexperienced as well experienced ones who are among the best professors in the state. The student teacher interaction is at medium level and still better initiatives can be taken. Few professors teach for the money they earn some consider it as a true profession. A wide scope and opportunities for students to grow though.
