Likes

The campus is green, which is really nice.
The seniors here are very nice and supportive.
Almost zero ragging and variety of clubs open to all.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs to be worked upon.
The labs could use a little bit of a work
There's no AC classrooms except for a couple of classrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview

IIT-BHU is a renowned institute for pursuing Engineering. Faculty is well qualified and the teaching method is fine. Everything here runs on a set schedule to avoid any delay. Faculty : student ratio is a bit poor because of the high strength of the batch.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are good , especially for the computer science branch. The average salary per stripend goes upto 100,000 for the computer science branch. The internship opportunities for branches like ceramic, metallurgy, civil, biomedical is very very low.

Placement Experience

It's an IIT so the placement offers are good and the percentage of students placed are decent too. The median package is good too. Many companies visit our campus and for future information you can follow the IIT BHU Media club on Instagram.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is pretty decent on comparison with any other IIT , NIT or private universities. There are plenty of opportunities for scholarships , financial assistance such as loan. I don't know much about the campus jobs.

Campus Life

Campus life is good. The seniors are very very helpful. The social life is great , there are plenty of clubs which are open to all the freshers for better exploration. The infrastructure is old and needs to be renewed.

Hostel Facilities

The new hostels are good , but the old one's are messed up. The restroom is in a really bad condition in many of the hostels. The taste of the mess food is just okay but the sanitatization is poor. Registration for the hostel is easy and affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Admission

Eligibility of the course is to clear JEE Mains and secure a good rank in JEE-Advanced. All the necessary details can be found on the website of NTA. And yes, there are reservations based on your caste. The application process is quite smooth and online and the cut off is hard to clear.

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. There are many company like TCS, L&T, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, IBM and many more visited our college. If you have CGPA greater than 7 then you are eligible for maximum placement drive. My plan is to get government job.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

At the time of counselling i was confused between IIIT nagpur CSE and here . But then i checked on many parameters .. IIIT dont have well developed infra and usually are in outskirts of city . I choose iit bhu because of iit tag string mining dept and most imp the campus life which felt better than other options i have . I have options of few iits like iit dhanbad and all but iit bhu stood out the most from all other iits in terms of everyaspect as it has strong placements records and aluminia base with lots of supported startups.
