Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

This course was my second priority after B.com(honours). The reason i chose this course was because of my past background in commerce feild in 11th and 12th and also as I am keenly interested in studying subjects like Accountancy and Economics. The faculty to student ratio of my course is a little under-staffed in my opinion as I feel that there are not many teachers as much as there are students, also due to the popularity of this course, one teacher has to manage atleast 60 students in a class which can improved by the administration. The faculty mostly inclides doctorates who have reasonable experience in their teaching field. There are some renowned professors who are also authors of their course books and other related material popular among students. The teaching methods, however, can be improved as they are mostly traditional in nature and don't involve much practical exposure, or creative aspects to involve the interests of students. There were no term exams held in my college

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship opportunities of the college are also provided by the placement cell and involve various companies such as zomato, mamaearth, bajajcapital, etc. According to the 2021 placement reports, the average stipend offered was 32k.

Placement Experience

4

The college offers campus placements to final year students(5th semester onwards)through its active placement cell network. It provides placement opportunities to students of all the courses and has a network of renowned companies that participate in recruitment drives each season. Some of its companies that are a part of the recruitments are Delloite, Byju's, PWC, DE Shaw and Co., Tresvista, etc. The placement season releases more than 120 offers on an average with an average package of 5.5 LPA and the highest package of 19.25 LPA according to its placements report of 2021.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of this course is quite nominal and affordable for almost all the students, with financial assistance provided to the needy as applicable. Apart from the tuition fees, the cost of materials and living are the major part of any student's monthly expenditure, irrespective of whether he is in the hostel or any pg.

Campus Life

4

The life in campus is pretty diverse and subject to the exploration capacity of a student as it involves public from across different states and cities and with different opinions and values as well as culture. If a student has an extroverted nature, he/she can experience the social life to the fullest in terms of making friends, creating memories, etc. However, one major drawback is the lack of events in the college. My college specifically lacks major fests and/or events that interest students, as far as I'm aware. The library is a major attraction for students who want a peaceful and comfortable environment to study or do their important tasks. It has two floors and is spacious enough for most of the students. It also provides a huge collection of books varying from course books to general novels and even discipline specific books on subjects like physics, maths, economics to name a few by various authors. There are also many active societies in the college like Commerce Society

Admission

The admission process was based on a competitive examination held ationally known as Common University Entrance Test(CUET) which is conducted by National Testing Agency(NTA) of the Govt of India. The exam is maily conducted between May and June every year and the application starts from February. The details of the application form, registration and further processes are provided on the NTA website as well as the dedicated website for CUET called cuet.samarth.ac.in. The benefits of reservation are provided in this examination and all the details are mentioned beforehand by the conducting bodies on the above mentioned webistes. The admission process can be improved by a faster response from the conducting bodies so as to avoid delays that occur during the whole process and it should be ensured that it is a smooth ride for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
