What Students Say
Likes
- The competitive coding culture and how many students are serious about their placements ,fairly decent college life .
Dislikes
- The small campus ,it is too small even though it is well maintained and constructed .
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course i.e. BTech as I am interested in technology and wanted to explore different domains but I won't lie I was somewhat disappointed by the curriculum being taught as focuses more on just teaching than developing skills ,though there are some faculty who work in the direction of imparting practical knowledge and skill . The faculty is well qualified but like any other college some are interested in teaching and some are not,so you will have to deal with that. Exams are scheduled timely and it is not that tough to pass given you study the class notes .
Internships Opportunities
companies such as atlassian and amazon do visit for internship and I have seniors being placed and doing internships in MAANG. I am yet to sit for internships so can't share my personal opinion ,but from what I have seen it is good.
Placement Experience
Placements are good ,I won't say great but fairly decent and provided that you are fairly skilled you will be placed with a decent package and many students opt for off campus placements for more lucrative packages .
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees here is one of the most attractive prospect as it is way less than other colleges and also there exist various scholarships for under previeledged students ,some are offered by the maharaja agrasen trust and some are by the delhi government itself .
Campus Life
We have two fests ,one being the cultural fest Mridang and the other is the tech fest of Techsurge though I am yet to experience any of them. The library is well equipped and has a myriad of books available . Classrooms are decent and has AC in them but nothing special . The sports culture is bad as you will have to pay for ther badminton court.Though several activities are conducted near the stands and it always lively.
Admission
The admission process at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) relies on JEE Main scores and also you need to have more than 70% in 12th board exams in PCM. They allocate 75% of seats to candidates from Delhi, and also have reserved seats for SC / ST / OBC categories. This approach ensures a mix of merit based selection and opportunities for local and diverse backgrounds. Management quota seats are also present but I am unaware of its charges . One can apply for it in the GGSIPU Counselling after JEE Mains Result. For the most current information, it's advisable to check MAIT's official website or contact their admissions office directly.
