The patient exposure is also very good..
The campus is very big and students have enough time for enjoyment

Tere is not enough greenery in the campus
The parking spaces are also not good....

Course Curriculum Overview

I wantes to become a doctor. Faculty ratio was not good for years ago but now there arw more available pgs. All the faculty are either mbbs graduates or MDs. Term exams were always on time and they were quote challanging but passable of we studied properly

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 26000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Intership is offered after mbbs and we are given a stipend of 12000 rupees. The patient exposure is very good. Amd vwe are taught by the senior faculty. The worklife is a bit hectic but manageable overall.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is minimal since it is a government college. Its arpund 26000 per year excluding hostel charges. Other than that. The intership is also done on the hospital and 12000 are given as stipend. Overall its quite good

Campus Life

The annual fest is called the GMC cultural fest. Its conducted in november. The library is huge and also has many avalaible books for the students. The classrooms have wifi and air conditioning and the teaching is done through projectors. There is a big sports comples also present. The studnets run the annual freshers party

Admission

I gave NEET exam for it. The application form and other documents were available theough NTA website. The admission process was very long and it should be shortened. Only people above 18 can get admission

AIIMS JAMMU TOTAL REVEIW

Placement Experience:

You can get a job here after completing MBBS or md. Can go to any hospital or open your own. 1.5L per month is avg for a doctor. Starting around 90k a month. Internship gives 28500 per month. No batch has currently passed out from this college . Comparatively new college. 2020 batch(oldest batch) still doing internship.

This is all good and bad things about my college

Placement Experience:

After the degree we have to do a compulsory internship of one year in which we get the salary of ,12 thousand. After completing the internship we can do the residency at our hospital at the pay of 40-50 thousand with the acomditaion

The Highlights of Gmc Srinagar

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was motivated since my 10th class which paved me a way closer to choose medical stream and to prepare for Neet though which selection procedure for this course is done. Our exams happen in every 2 months and practical assessments also taken every week The difficulty level depends upon our concerned faculties.

ASCOMS - Boon or Bane ?

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yes it's pretty relevant they follow the new CBME issued by the NMC and it's in line with the PG syallabus and entrance exams as well . What they could change though is the teaching methods and how to be more interactive with students

All u need to know about ASCOMS Jammu

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose MBBS by my choice The more the practical and clinicals u perform the better u understand things rather than books . Real life experience is important I think what should be improved is that focus should be more on things that are more important for being a doctor. More towards clinical aspects more towards practical performance and less on things needed to cram Timing for exam of 80 mark is 3 hrs and is quite good enough time. 20 marks are of mcqs so total 100 mark.

GMC-Jammu in a Glance

To be very honest I didn't apply for any other colleges apart from GMC Jammu. Because in my state it's the best college for pursuing mbbs. Since it started operating in 1973, it has a history of high experience and high patient inflow as compared to other colleges like GMC Kathua, GMC Rajouri, etc. The teachers here are highly experienced as compared to any other college in the region. The exam required to be cleared before getting admission into mbbs course is NEET-UG. The cut-offs stay pretty high for General category students. This year in 2024 admissions, cut off for open merit was 667 for boys and 634 for girls in GMC Jammu. Overall admission process is not that difficult. One has to fulfill some requests which are enlisted by the college's student section every year, he's of them being a Transfer certificate from school, 12th mark sheet, Identify proofs, migration certificate, character certificate, health certificate, etc....Read More
