Likes

Well maintained library with variety of books.
Affordable for middle class students who want to pursue bsc cs.
Have a good environment, decent crowd and some experienced teachers.

Dislikes

Have a bad infrastructure, classes and washrooms are not that much clean.
In context of bsc cs students, faculty is not so experienced.

Chose this course because of the recent boom in the it sector and has a keen interest in computer related subjects. After introduction of cuet ug, total 58 seats are there for bsc cs. Faculty is decent and you can easily pass the exams with a little much hardwork 2 3 weeks before the exams

There's placement cell in the college and one can also apply for internships and placements through placement fair organized by Delhi University. Majorly startup companies come for hiring and no big companies visit this college.

In CVS, if one is pursuing bsc cs, there are very low chances of getting a decent placement through college because maximum placement opportunities are there for vocational courses. One can prepare for competitive exams, off campus placements, and can apply for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees for bsc cs in cvs is 48006 and if you are an outstation student, your monthly spenditure would be around 14-15k or even more depending on your expenditures, which includes pg/flat rents, food, transportation cost if you are living far from college, etc.

In CVS, no fests were held after the corona period. Well maintained two storey library with variety of books. Classrooms of the old building are not good in comparison to the new building. A lot of societies are present can get in any one of them according to your interest.

Admission

To opt for bsc computer science in DU, you should have maths subject kn in your 11th and 12th class. After 12th you have to sit for cuet ug exam and if you fulfill all the criteria for the course and have a good score in your selected domain subject exams, you can get into the colleges offering bsc cs in delhi university

placements cells were little challenging . there were really less near to zero placement were there .so thats a problem you have to go for higher studies to get a good job and financial stability mostly students do this only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Maitreyi college's BSc life sciences is a three year course and admits almost 130 students . The average package is INR3.40 LAKHS but is very difficult for the students to get placed under this course

Shivaji College Experience

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Life in Kirori Mal College.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.

Well you need to very lucky to have been a part of Sri Venkateswara college.Only think we missed back then was auditorium and hostels which am sure are there now.A very positive and caring vibe you got.Reddy Sir our principal in last few months invited me to share tirupati prasad he got that was the level and depth of community interaction and love.

Remarks:

Canteen of the college is not much good. But it is good for a student. We can make our career in different field from this college. It has provided us playing material so student cam play there favourite game

Consequences after getting admitted in DU

I gave the CUET exams to get my college. CUET exam is basically an entrance test for bachelors degree which eligibles you to all the central universities of India. You have to appear for four domain subjects that you have studied in your class 11th and 12th. You can apply for any course irrespective of it's connection with the subjects that you jave studied earlier. Based on your cuet score you will be eligible for different courses. The cutoff is really high for Delhi University starting from 600 for more most of the courses starting from the lower reputed colleges. You do get reservation benefits. The application form are generally out in the month of April. The exam has nothing to do with your class 12th percentage until you have passed the class. The only demerit I find is the late admission process. By the time you get the results of the exam, other top colleges' admission are done by then....Read More
