- Hostels - they are situated far from campus. 6km
- Social life - There are no clubs for enjoyment. Every thing is related to your study is and only thing present
- Campus area - Its is very small as compared to other universities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very good and the faculty too. The tracher to students ratio is around 1 : 20. All the teacher are highly qualified as they are hired after tough government exam and by the government. The exam is also little tough if ur not allert about the exam pattern and not regular in college
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunity are present but only if your giving ur best. Some of the biggest and best companys come to this university every year like amazon tcs cognizant etc. Calcutta University is a brand i west bengal but is new in the field of btech so this brand will attract companies but since the university is new student has to gain the there trust to withstand company's requirements by showing there hard work in their academic session ( good CGPA). Internship is provided by college in tsc and many more good companies and it also provides project and research facilities in partnership with IITKGP
Placement Experience
The placement in Calcutta University is good as medium or lower nits. But it is getting better since b.tech is new in Calcutta University. You can get an idea from: The highest placement in 2022 was 20 lakhs And highest placement in 2023 is 30 lakhs
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is very very minimum. You can say it is negligible. As the fees of four year is 32000 around and you also get scholarship around 40000 minimum if ur from west bengal. But there are also other scholarships for girls and students from outside of west bengal. One of the most common scholarship is svmcm
Campus Life
Actually if ur in Calcutta University the scocial life or club life like cricket club football club etc are not present. Campus is also not big as there is no ground for cricket or football. But there are clubs which can help in your career like coding club etc.
Admission
Through WBJEE Exam.. You have to be in the top 2000 to get cse btech in Calcutta University. Wbjee admission generally starts in December and the exam is generally taken in march or April. The addmission process is very good but u can get better branches in mop up or decentralisation.
