I like my university our classrooms our faculties
The campus of my university is quiet big or large we used to sit there for a long time
And also i like the most is the admission process which is online process

Our college surrounding area which is usually dirty

Course Curriculum Overview

I am a student of English literature so that's why I choose masters of Arts in English. In our university the faculty of English department is quite helpful and friendly. They teach us very well about literature. But the exam of English department is tough we have to read whole syllabus to pass in the examination

Class Size: 48Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite high We need to pay approx 10000 for the admission and approx 8000 for each semester. And There are four semester in this course. But thanks to our CM Mamata Banaerjee who give us scholarship benefits so that we can continue our education

Campus Life

Everything in our university is very well designed and in every year there will be an event which is annual function Also there are used to participate sports and other activities. We are socially connected with each other

Admission

The eligibility of the course that the candidate should have pass the bachelor's degree with 65%. The Admission process was quite well. It was an online Admission process for MA in english (hons) . I am a student of unreserved category so basically I have no idea about reservation benefits. And I don't want to see any improvement in Admission process because online process is much better.

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

Placement Experience:

Students are generally elegible for placement offers from 3rd year of UG program and 2nd Year of PG program. I-PAC, ecociate, ICICI Bank are our paste recruiters with an average package of nearly ?3.5 lakh annually. I-PAC made the highest package offer of ?400000 annually. Placement percentage are relatively low of nearly 30% as more are oriented academically.

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.

Jadavpur University is a brilliant educational institute and is highly sought after. International Relations, my subject of choice, is not offered in many universities across the country. That is why I wanted to specifically try and join this University.

Computer faculty is the best ??

Other than dwc, I have applied in various colleges.. like asansol girls college, burdwan women's college, many colleges of Kolkata, durgapur michal Madhusudan college, Durgapur goverment college etc.. I have also given the ug cuet exam.. But after getting chances in maximum colleges ,my family did not allow to choose that colleges ... so I have to take admission in DWC..The admission process is looking the marks of class 12 and they out the merit list ......Read More

My college days

I only gave admission test in this college, as it was the closest to my home. No i didn't get rejected as I never applied although i did gave the cuet exam and i couldn't qualify. Our college's admission process is quite simple. We had to fill the online form in the college website and then check the merit list and appear in college on the day they mention for document verification . You need 50% above marks in higher secondary, there were no exam held for admission, though the 12th marks matters as the cut off is 65 above is mandatory.
