Course Curriculum Overview

4

1. I wanted to study in CSE from a government college, so i choosed it. 2. I think CSE has a large field of opportunities to work for. There are lots of vaccancies in each and every field for CSE students. 3. Sem exams are not at all tough. Just learn the basics and stick to it. You can score good marks in exam.

Internships Opportunities

3

FIELD SERVICE TECHNOLOGY, COSMIC365, these are the companies which has provided internships to our students with approx of 600 dollars. You can work with projects that are related to AI or ML. These provides a lots of opportunities for the students now a days.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. The 1st sem fees in ?19275 and from 2nd sem to 8th sem sem fees is ?19375. Including all kind of charges except Exam Enrollment fees. 2. The hostel fees is ?1000 per month. 3. The students who are citizens of west Bengal can apply for svmcm scholarship which is ?60000 per year. Students who have year lack and are OBC they can apply for Oasis scholarship.

Campus Life

3

1. Here we celebrate some of the cultural festivals like Viswakarma Puja, Saraswati Puja. Each year Freshers and Teachers Day is celebrated. Students perform in those activities. 2. There is a central Library in our campus lots of journals are available but some of the major books of our department are missing. 3. There are some lack of facilities. 4. Lack of extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel is 3km away from the college campus. 6 students stay in every room. Conditions of the hostel room are not at all good. The meal quality is also not up to the mark. Every day 2 times meal is provided to each and every student. You have to apply for hostel during the time of admission through a portal which will be provided by the faculty itself. The hostel fees are ?1000 per month.

Admission

1. I have applied for UEM, JAIPUR. I thought I wouldn't be able to qualify in WBJEE so i booked a seat in advance but when result of WBJEE was published I achived a rank of 8039. I wanted to study in CSE so no other government college was giving me CSE in counseling. So I choosed this college. 2. You can take admission through a good rank in WBJEE and JELET. The cut off rank for WBJEE is near about 10K.

Faculty

4

1. The faculty to student ratio is 1:4. The relationship among students and teachers are good. Its not a big issue. You can feel free to interact with any proffesor at any time. 2. Ms. Pratima Mandal is the teacher whom I appreciate a lot. She guides us, supports us if we face any problem. 3. There are total 8 sem exams in gap of every 5 to 6 months. Each sem there are 2 internals of each subjects which are compulsory.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
