Lovely premises

atmosphere of the college is beautiful with lot of plantation of the trees . education is very good. the campus is always clean. it is worth the money paid for education

SRMJEEE entrance exam is to be written to get admitted in SRM. i was there for a gaming tournament held in symposium. absolutely loved the beautiful atmosphere of trees and felt the fresh air. There was no interview procees but had to register myself to compete in the tournament.

Mechanical engineering course is of a good quality at SRM. there is lot of knowledge gained about the subject as students gain interest to learn . this interest is imparted on the students by the staff. Practical learning is everything at SRM. book learning is secondary. the staff teach the students how to perform the experiments and clear all doubts on the machines. there are many research initiatives taken but i dont know the names of those exactly.

plenty of internships are provided by the university. there is a lot that students learn during the internship program. knowledge is gained on the subject. average stipend was around 2000INR.

placement at SRM is good. many companies come for placements as SRM is one of the top universities . around 70 % of students get placed every year. companies like nissan, toyota , super auto forge came for placements. the average package was around 30,000 INR per month.

many events such as symposiums, tournaments , sports events are held every year . and also many workshops are conducted by various departments. these events are quite popular and students from other colleges participate in the events. the organization was remarkable. lot of money is spent for these events.

fees is quite high at SRM. students pay around 5 lakh every year .mostly the fees is based on the caste the students belong to and this is disappointing. there are also students who paid 20 lakh as initial amount to get admitted in SRM.

scholarship is provided to certain students whose parents' have low income . university did provide loan for education. loan upto 50,000INR is provided to students .

there are plenty of social activities and sports events. football, basketball, cricket , hockey and sports are played in the university. indoor games are also encouraged by the university. poetry and drawing are also present where students discover their talents

i am a day scholar. but i have a friend who stays at hostel. hostel rooms are so clean and a room is shared by 3 members. thus, it should be quite comfortable for the students at hostel. the food is always served hot and the quality of the food is rich . multi-cuisine canteens are available during the day.

there was interaction with the alumni. there were many seminars for interaction. yes the alumni provided funds for the development of the university.

exams are quite tiring . labs are good as we dont feel tiredness because we have hand-on session everyday. exam schedules are a bit long .

the staff at SRM are quite polite and friendly. they are always ready to clear doubts of students. most of the staff have high qualified degrees like Ph.D . some of them are pursuing the same. their communication is mostly in english. the quality of their teaching is rich and understandable
