Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is good and updated and also the faculty members of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh College are cooperative and understanding. As I was from commerce background so I choose the Bcom(h) course. The faculty members are really kind enough to help the students and do co-operate with us. Also the student ratio is a bit disproportional as no. Of boy's are more than girls it's kind of Ratio 10:3 in my course and in overall college it's 10:8 maybe. The faculty members are well qualified and hold the rank of professor and assistant professor and their teaching methods are good, they help us in getting materials, notes , and give real life projects and examples. The term exam's are held in every 6 months that means at the end of each semester also before that internal exams and practical exams are also being conducted by the faculty before every end term exam. It is moderate level of difficulty in passing the exams. No such hard or not too lenient.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement of the college is decent. If I particularly say about my course i.e. bcom(h) , it has the decent placement record. The average package is 3-4 lakh and the highest on campus package is 8 lakhs and off campus is 20 lakhs. The students become eligible for the placement in their final year i.e. 3rd year. The companies visited are Zomato, Deloitte, KPMG, etc. the no.of offers made aren't revealed by the placement cell. Profile offered are of assistant accountant, consulting and HR. Average package 3-4 lakhs and highest 8lakhs on campus. The students who sit for the placement among them around 80% are placed. My plan after degree is to get good placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is minimal. Each year we have to pay RS.12500 (approx) fee to the college and beside that rs.1500-1600 fee is to be paid as examination fee in each semester. The fee hike policy is not as such mentioned anywhere but it sometimes happens that college increases the fees by 1000 or 2000 incase they provide any extra facilities to the students. The cost to study is more of the living expenses then the college fee as it is costly here to live and takes a minimum of 11,000-15,000 per month to be spent to live in a good condition.. The internship cell and placement cell are responsible for the jobs and internships in the college and they do their work greatly. Also, Low income families children are also given financial assistance ( Named as - Financial support scheme) under this the students have to pay a subsidised fee amount and get relaxation of 50% approx.

Campus Life

3.5

The life at campus is good and charming the area has 3 colleges ( sbsc, sbsec, cvs) running in the locality soo the campus is full of students and gives a good vibe. The infrastructure of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College is good and the construction work is also going now and the facilities are being enhanced. The college the various society and in every field, you may apply to one of your choice and enhance your college fun. Annual fest of every society is held with different names and in different style. The fest are mostly conducted in the month of February. The library is very good and has enough resources, books are available of the latest edition though they are in limited number. Some class room's have smart board and rest of them have normal white board and benches. The sports and extra curricular activities are promoted and societies like NCC and cricket clubs are very active in the college. Social group that are run by the students are - ecospire ( economics society), hult prize.

Admission

Eligibility of the course was to have cleared 12th class. I found the application form on the website of NTA, the fee for application was Rs.1200 and dates of application was started from 6th April 2022 and the process went for 1.5 months (also after that application form was reopened for some days.) No reservations. I wanted to have the process to be shorter as it was too lengthy and time consuming.

Other Applied Colleges

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University - [BBAU] | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA]

Because of the location as I got admission in DU so I preferred to choose Delhi better than Lucknow in terms of exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
