Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to pursue the CA course and that is the main reason for selecting this course as the curriculum is similar. As already mentioned we have the largest faculty in the commerce stream which leads to a good student-teacher ratio of around 1:50. The professors are highly qualified and renowned as they also publish their books which are taught in other colleges. Exams are taken at the end of the semester generally 6 months is the length of a semester including exams. Exams are moderate and specific guidelines are provided which is very helpful for preparing

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The internship cycle begins in the 2nd year of college and is 3rd semester. Companies like Deutsch Bank, Bank of America, and HUL come for internship opportunities and offer roles in finance consulting research, and marketing. The whole process is managed by the placement cell of the college. Companies are divided into A B C categories considering their role and stipend.

Placement Experience

4

In the 3rd year of college or 5 semesters, the placement cycle begins. Big companies and MNCs come for placement and recruit freshers for different job roles including finance consulting, marketing, etc. BCG, Bain, Blackstone, Mckensy, HUL, and Big 4 are the companies. The highest package was 45 LPA this season and the average package is 10 LPA. I am aspiring for an MBA after college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for every student is 30000 and is to be paid for a year ie 2 semesters. I feel this is fair considering the facilities provided by the college. There are many scholarship and financial assistance schemes provided by both the college and university. Reliance Foundation Scholar is the most famous scholarship scheme. There are many schemes for minorities and reserved students.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus area is not very large but considering the area where the college is situated it is adequate as it is located in the heart of the north campus. We have a library an auditorium, a sports complex, and a football ground. Classrooms are air-conditioned and spacious with modern equipment. There are plenty of societies and clubs in the college for eg enactus nss 180 dc etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

Boys hostel and girls hostels are available in the college or students can opt for PG or flat in the nearby area of the college like Vijaynagar Kamla Nagar or Hudson Lane. Admission to the hostel is purely on a merit basis and seats are reserved for different categories as well. A normal room is provided without AC. Food quality is top-notch and affordable.

Admission

CUET is the only exam to be considered for Shri Ram College of Commerce or any college of Delhi University. For undergraduate programs, SRCC only offers BCom (Hons) and BA economics (hons) which justifies its reputation in the field of commerce as we have the best and largest faculty for the commerce courses offered across Delhi University. For Bcom hons maths is optional but for economics hons, maths is a compulsory subject to be chosen in the exam. A general test is not required as it is not considered for any of the courses offered. More details can be obtained from NTA CUET's official website.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
