Likes
- Sports. I like the environment of sports in CEMK. It has a different level in CEMK, All departments are very serious about sports and to win departmental cup. All seniors are very friendly when you are in ground and they will encourage you all time.
Dislikes
- Placement is not so good enough. Many of the students are unemployed after doing there BTech from CEMK. There are some students who used to be serious in their study and they got placed in big companies. But overall placement rate is not good.
Course Curriculum Overview
From my childhood I am interested about Computer Science and I have contact with many person who are doing IT services. They explained me about this course and I was very interested to join this. Faculties are very good except few members. They explain everything in a way which is student friendly. Maximum of them have done PHD and few completed M.Tech(they are technical staffs). Term exam papers are not too hard. If you give enough time in your study definitely you will get a good CGPA.
Placement Experience
On campus placement quality is not good. 4th year students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like TCS, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI, JP MORGAN visited. Highest package given is 16LPA & average package is 6LPA. I am planning to seat on GATE exam and I want to go for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
I think semester fees are too high. If you passed your higher secondary from West Bengal board and have all eligibility criteria to apply for SVMCM scholarship you will definitely get it. Don't depends on on campus job opportunity. Try to gain and improve your skills in that branch you choose to study and try to give your best to get a good off campus job.
Campus Life
In CEMK annual cultural fest namely SPANDAN is organized in month of April and in same time annual Tech fest namely RESONANCE is organized also. Library is quite good. In CEMK Sports has a different level.A great environment for sports, cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, carrom, badminton etc. There's a coding club run by students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good, for 1st & 2nd year student there is a single room to share between 4 person and for 3rd & 4th year student each person have single room. Mess food is good but not so.There is a grand feast in first Friday of every month.
