Dislikes

In this college there is no sports facilities.
Faculty is not good enough. All of them are not helpful.
Here exam are very strict. They did not help students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose my computer science course because it's current Market. In this field there are huge opportunity. In this college there are a large number of students studies but maximum are from CS and IT background. Non IT background students are very minimum. Faculty members are average. Half of them are very good knowledge and experience but all are not good. It's under MAKAUT so here exam is very strict.

7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Tcs , capgimini , cognizant, Infosys are visited here. Highest package nearly 22 lacs and average package around 4 lacs. 89% students got placed previous year.

In the admission total 4 years fees structure they give the students. Yes, there are available many government scholarship like svmcs. Campus placements are average here. Avg package around 4 lacs approx.

Campus Life

Campus Life is good . There are many clubs like arts club , photography club , cultural club etc. every year here happens tech fest and sports. All club are their own social media handle. But here campus is not large.

Admission

I took admission via wbjee. My wbjee rank was 26k approx. Yes, there is a tuition fees weiver scheme. If your rank within 28k you have a good choice to take admission in this college. There is no additional charge for application form. In total 1st sem fees they take total amount.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
