I liked the environment of there every peaceful unlike other colleges

Dislikes

The canteen because it doesn’t provide what is in there menu and if i talk about the drinks section no cold drinks only water and if there is cold drinks by any chance it will be hot as normal temperature
The library because it should have more books .
Dislike how the teachers behave sometimes

Faculty members are very good here some of them did not meet my expectations but everyone of them is highly educated and talented. We have like mid sem exams and then after that end sem exam that is the final exam . Everyone can pass it if they study a bit and teacher guides you so if any problem occurs you can always ask them .

Placement Experience

I don't know about college placement because i am a 2nd year student pursuing btech in cybersecurity as well as iot and blockchain .This stream is very new and as per as the news i got from 3rd tear we will get the internship and all . Talking about companies TCS infosis and many other companies visit so that is fine and almost everyone got placed here and as per the website but as i said my stream is new here so I don't know what will be the outcome ,lets hope for the best and after pursuing this degree i think i will be developing my skills on cybersecurity more because it is in great demand and world needs some good cybersecurity experts i guess .

Fees and Financial Aid

Here fees structure is that if you are studying in 1st semester you need to clear your fees for the 2nd semester before the 1st sem exam starts And here study cost is very affordable for the courses that you choose to study like other colleges.

Campus Life

Making my point clear there are no such things as clubs here and no clarity about sports here no initiative taken as further inknow we didn't get any information regarding sports and talking about fest very bare minimum as I didn't think it will be like this very disappointing. There is this basketball court only the students play nothing else sport activities i have seen or get info about .

Admission

I got normal admission in this course no entrance exam i gave ,seeing the marks they took me in this course as per the eligibility criteria . Details about admission in this college is given very in the website as well

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Insights of SNU

There are a few private colleges present in Kolkata which provides biotechnology but in my opinion the labs of those colleges are not as well furnished as ours. There curriculum is little different than ours. I didn't apply to any other colleges apart from Snu for biotechnology I sat for an online exam .And I cleared the test. Once you get a call you visit the college campus meet the faculty and the faculty may take a type of interview session The addmission process is smooth. But sometimes the staff members of admission makes blunder. My classes were about to start from 17 August, but they called me during July( because she didn't know that biotechnology does not fall under para- medical and made a mistake and for her mistake I had to suffer as I'm not a resident of Kolkata)...Read More
