Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Computer Science and engineering since I had a keen interest in computers since my childhood. The course curriculum is pretty good. Though the faculty members could be better. The faculty: student ratio is not that decent, like 1:80.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is pretty decent in comparison to other private colleges in Kolkata. But this year I came to know that the fees were hiked by a margin, which I think should not be done as per the times.
Campus Life
Sahotsava is the annual Fest of TIU. It is a 5-day long Fest which is very fun for the students. Departmental fests are also being held by the student clubs. The availability of books is a big problem for students. And the college lacks a library.
Admission
The admission process was pretty smooth. I did give WBJEE and JEE MAINS where I scored a percentile of 86. I did avail for counseling but ended up not choosing the college I got by counseling. I was admitted to Techno India University since I was more interested in studying CSE, which I got wishfully by my MAINS rank. Got a spot admission at the university without any extra fees being paid. Though I have a SC certificate I did not avail of any facilities from it.
