The infrastructure of our college is very nice.
There are many grounds and plants and trees which give the students happy vibe to stay and study.
The faculty here is very friendly which is very necessary for students.

In some classrooms the benches are not comfortable to sit.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I want to build my carrier in field of commerce. And also there are many carrier options after bcom . Faculty of this? college is very nice . They are well educated and have a very good teacher method. They are friendly with students and help them . Mid - term exam are held every three months and semester final exams are held every six months and they are easy to crack.

Class Size: 400Course Fees: INR 34000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fees is 34000/- and it varies form course to course . some courses have fees around 38000 and some have 30000 so averagely it is 32000 - 35000 and this fees is for whole year not for 1 semester. These colleges do not provide any type of scholarships .

Campus Life

The campus life is very nice. The crowd is very nice also. There are several functions which were held in our colleges timely. The library is also very nice. It also had a nice environment and all kind of books are available which helps the students.

Admission

Admission process was online. And we have to fill forms of Panjab University, there we have to select colleges in which we want to take admission. We had to verify some documents and on the basis of 12 th percentage we are allotted colleges. There are several rounds in which we may or may not change our college.

Learning and Growth at PGGC-11

Placement Experience:

The students can sit for placements in their final year of course. The tricity based companies come for campus placements for jobs that need strong communication skills and basic knowledge of their domain. The maximum package that was offered goes up to 5 LPA, and the average packages are lower than this arounf 3 LPA. I wanted to go for Post Graduation so did not opt for campus placement.

The course curriculum is relevant and fairly comprehensive. Well defined syllabus with core subjects included. Balanced focus on theory and academic learning. Suitable for students aiming for higher studies. The curriculum prepares students well for post graduate studies and entrance exam.exposure to practical and industry oriented applications is limited. AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT- Inclusion of skill based and industry relevant modules. Greater use of interactive teaching methods. More guest lectures and workshops. First SEM Experience

Placement Experience:

Around 80-90% of the students get placed in my course. The average package is 3LPA - 5LPA. This college has a decent placement record. The highest package offered is 7.6LPA. Companies like Google , Deloitte , Amazon , Infosys , Wipro , etc. come to the campus to pick excellent students for their company. The college also has a dedicated placement cell which helps the students to prepare for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is not hard ofcourse but it's pretty old fashioned and non modernistic . No technology inculcation in the curriculum. Difficulty level is not much . There should be modernisation of the curriculum. More technology inclusion . More tech based learning . More practical education.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Application for this college is easy process. You just need to fill a form from dhe.chd.gov.in for which you have to pay very nominal fee ( i paid 70rs in 2023). Teaching methods are okay.likr there's so such thing that college is in Chandigarh so better teachers or something.

MCM MY DREAM COLLEGE

The reputation and ranking of MCM is really nice in north india and specially in tricity! PGGC SECTOR 11 & 42 these are also good but they have a very large crowd of students women like kangana raunaut and yami are also a student of this college giving it a extra bollywood vibe! Mehar Chand Mahajan College: A Hub for Growth and Opportunity

I chose Mehar Chand Mahajan College for its strong academic reputation and supportive faculty. Compared to other colleges, it excels in personalized attention and offers a vibrant campus life. While other colleges had good programs, they lacked the same level of community engagement. I was accepted here after a straightforward admission process, which included an application review and an interview, making it a seamless experience.
