Remarks

DTU is one of the best colleges in the Delhi NCR region, and it is proved by the way things work here. There are some negative aspects as well like the professors sometimes are not very helpful but this is a very rare situation. I like the infrastructure very much, I am a sports person and the college provide all kinds of facilities to brush up my skills.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for the JEE mains examination, which is a common platform for almost all the engineering college in the country. Our All India Rank (AIR) decides the admission in the college. You need at least less than 10000 AIR to get admission in DTU.The Exam is followed by a Counselling session of the university. Although for students who completed their 12th from Delhi have greater chances as the rank for Delhi quota closes at a pretty high number.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have chosen Computer Science engineering, since it has a lot scope in future and a lot of companies are lined up to hire good CSE students. The college focuses on the practical knowledge as well with the help of labs and practical assignments. A lot of research based international conferences are organized in the college for the students.

Internships Opportunities

A lot of companies come to provide internships to the students but it is not an easy task to avail an internship with a stipend. An average Stipend of up to 30000 is offered to the students during their internship. I have good managerial skills hence I got an internship of 10000 per month in a non-tech company from the college itself.

Placement Experience

4.5

This is the best thing about DTU. The placements are good at the college. An average of 10-12 per annum is offered to the students. Till now, the highest placement was of 1.27 cr internationally and 30 lakh at the domestic level. Recruiters like Microsoft, google, mckinsey, KPMG, Infosys etc. come to the college with great offers. Even some non-technical companies do arrive offering non-technical positions at their firm.

College Events

4

The best things about DTU are the cultural and technical fest of the college i.e. Engifest and Innova. These are one of the largest fest in the country. A lot of students from different regions and colleges come to participate in the event and there are huge cash prizes to win in the competition. Apart from the them DeltechMUN is very famous in the MUN circuit. Our MUN boosts the quality of debating that exists in the circuit. More than 400 students be a part of this MUN.

Fee Structure And Facilities

DTU is an affordable college. It is funded by the government and costs around 4 lakh to complete a 4-year B. Tech course. The tuition fee is 57,000; a security deposit of 6000 is to paid at the time of admission which is refundable at the end of the program. Other than this, there is a development fee of 15,000 per annum and a student fee of 12,000 per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, as much as I know DTU does not provide any kind of Scholarship to the students.

Campus Life

4.5

DTU organizes various events to engage students in co-curricular activities. There are annual cultural, technical and sports fest which are organized at a very large scale. The Engifest, annual cultural event is one of the best attractions of DTU. Various artists like Pappon, Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal-Sheher and many such artists have come to perform in our fest. Adding on, there are various competition like Talent hunt etc to let students show their talent. Drag Racing and Poker games organised in the recent Engifest were a source of entertainment and gathered great attention.

Hostel Facilities

4

No, I am day Scholar but as far as I know, hostels are pretty good at DTU, they provide all kinds of facilities like basketball courts, caroms , television, common area etc. The best thing about hostel at DTU is you can have group study with your friends and colleagues.

Alumni/Alumna

I have good connections with the alumnus of the college, and the credit goes to the annual interactive events of the college. Even the Hubs or societies time to time welcome the former presidents to deliver lectures on certain topics and even share their own experiences. This is a great thing to help us keep updated with the recent working scenario in the outside world.

Exam Structure

Exams in DTU are not very stressful, teachers provide study materials like power point presentation, notes, assignments etc, and Labs are fun at DTU, if you a technical person and love to research dig in to the subject, labs are very much helpful in here. Professors and assistants are there to assist you with your experiments at every point of time but most of the work has to be done by us only.

Faculty

4

Professors at DTU are very well qualified and they have a good teaching experience. Some teachers are very helpful and try to build a personal connection with the students to know their problems, while others are not very much concerned . Overall, faculty is pretty good and supportive in the college .

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.
