Course Curriculum Overview

B.Tech is all the craze for science students, so I took this course. Faculty to student ratio is more than 1:50. Some of the faculties are great but some were not so great. There are 3 exams per semester which are fairly difficult to pass

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 85000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know anything about this, but the fees are quite high with no extra facilities available to the students. The semester fees are 85k/semester but the first sem fees are even higher at 1.1 lacs. The rooms are not air-conditioned and there are only 3 lifts to service 3 buildings, 2 of which are 5 floors each and one is 7 floors.

Campus Life

There are many clubs such as coding clubs, gaming clubs, literary clubs, debate clubs, robotics clubs, etc un by the students. Selection of books at the library is fairly decent; however there are little amenities in the classrooms. Sports in UEM are a joke.

Admission

Admission was done through IEMJEE exam. You can find the information about it online. I would love to see the exam UI/UX be modernized and improved. Currently, the exam portal is very outdated and not student friendly at all.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

If frustration would have a definition.

If you want to join ths college you have give IEMJEE (their own admission exam) or through WBJEE Exam. But don't worry pal half of it's admission is done by management quota and rest of the seat is seal by external broker.
