Likes

The college campus is very big very beautiful and well organized
Apart from studies, there are different playing grounds for sports like cricket, football, table tennis, volleyball
There are separate building classroom labs for each department

Dislikes

Students who come from Bengali medium have a little difficulty in attending classes in full English
75% must go to college, otherwise they are not allowed to sit for the exam.
Having some recorded classes and notes and suggestions during exams is very beneficial.

Course Curriculum Overview

The main reason for taking the course is to improve skills and get a job Student to faculty ratio is very good PhD, MBA, M-Tech, BTech Exams are conducted every six months and must be read well to pass. Passing is difficult

Class Size: 105Course Fees: INR 88000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees for four years is Rs 4 lakh and semester feed is Rs 45 thousand every six months. Swami Vivekananda Scholarships are also available Oasis Scholarships and TFW for good rank where tuition fees are waived Placement here is very good where maximum package is 14 lakhs and minimum package is 4 lakhs

Campus Life

A cultural fest and a tech fest are organized here once a year where many educational events are organized The library has a wide variety of course related books and also a wide variety of teaching books There are many large classrooms with chairs, tables, computers and AC facilities There is a large ground for playing cricket and for playing football there are separate playing grounds for playing table tennis and volleyball. Music Club , Yoga Club, Dance Club There are also different types of clubs

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

In wbjee minimum rank you should get to admit in cse it branches is 30000... application form are available in college site..it should be better if u do it in offline mode..in a year 2 semesters are organised one in December and one in June....more workers should be hired during admission time.....Read More
