Jadavpur University - best return of investment

I want to be an engineer till my childhood, engineering is my dream and I want to work in govt sector as an engineer. And civil engineering gives the best opportunity to serve for government as an engineer. That's why I have taken civil engineering. And if you ask why JADAVPUR University? Then my ans is this University holds 10th rank in engineering all over India, and holds 2nd highest rank in our state, West Bengal. Faculty: student ratio is about 1:5. Most of the faculties are PhD holders and highly qualified. Exams like class test and semester exams conducts time to time. One who study he or she doesn't feel difficult to pass even getting a decent cgpa.

After 6th semester and in the fourth year students become eligible for campus placements. More than 100 companies visits our campus and about more than 1000 offers make. In 2023 , the highest package is 85 lakhs per annum and from department of electronics and telecommunication engineering. Last year I mean in 2022, highest package was 1.8 crore per annum in Facebook and from department of computer science and engineering. In 2023 over 95 percent students were placed and in 2022 over 82 percent students were placed. Top it companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft top electronics core companies like Texas instruments, Qualcomm, Samsung and sometimes top PSU companies like IOCL, Bridge and roof co, IRCON, GAIL INDIA LTD, Engineers India Ltd recruits from our university. I want to work for govt sector. I am preparing for GATE and UPSC ESE. My aim is to join CPWD after getting my degree.

The annual fees of my course is 2400 rs only per year. This University is one of the cheapest engineering institute all over India. And coming to the campus placement, I think it's more than decent. In 2023, 94 percent of our department has been placed, half of them placed in core companies and rest ones had placed in it, consulting, banking companies.

Annual fest is Sanskiriti and helds in April and tech fests are srijan and jontro-tontro. There are lots of collection of books in our university, there is a central Library and every department has a seperate departmental library. Campus have big playgrounds. All the classrooms are not AC but a few have AC. Our university has lots of clubs and societies like drama club, poetry club, photography club, mountaineering club, mechatronics club, entrepreneurship club etc.

1. Eligibility - 10+2 with pcm as compulsory subject and 60 percent aggregate in 10+2/higher secondary. 2. Application- Admission is done through a state level entrance exam called west bengal joint entrance exam or WBJEE shortly. It conducts once a year, application fee is 500 rs. The exam holds in March-april and application form releases about December-january. 3. Reservation - JADAVPUR University has reservation for sc,st and OBC candidates. It also provides Tfw(Tution fee waiver) reservation for economically poor students.
